Hockey Bob
Nice catch, I didn't see that. Even still, it could be a stripped team jersey that someone just put his name on. I don't see much wear on it and Shanny as I recall was a pretty hard nosed player.

AngeloS76
It's a gorgeous shirt, and 100% accurate to the OG, but seeing the wear (or lack thereof) on it makes me think it's another "game-worn replica" (I'm looking at you, akteon ). With that said, it's about a $300-400 shirt depending on the proper buyer. But, I guess when the stars align just right, magic happens.

WrathofAchilles
That seller has a lot going up that seems all to be authentic too. I took a chance and picked this one up...http://www.ebay.com/itm/191086805769?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649I asked the seller no tag but the exact measurements where 30.5" pit to pit and 33" top to bottom and that SHOULD be a 56 and thus a PERFECT fit for me....so I went out and got it. Here's hoping my hunch was right. Sorry if I had outbid anyone here.
Brilliant!
So...anybody have experience in dealing with a buyer who wants a refund on an item because he's not happy with factory-applied items on a USED jersey? I think I'm just gonna tell him to go scratch. The item was sold as described and clearly labeled as used. Too effing bad.

Brilliant!
Essentially, a crooked crest(it's not) and stitch hole shadows underneath the jocktag. I told him to contact the manufacturer.
HockeyMusic
I had a buyer once back out of a deal because the customization on a 1980s jersey was not original (because I had customized it in 2010 and was not original customization done in 1986) though the custom job was accurate. Yeah I agree with you on that. If it's an eBay item, it might affect your feedback. But I think if those are the issues, and one isn't even true, he's unreasonable. thebiggoalie
Just accept a return and resell it. No sense in arguing with ignorant people on eBay(which is what eBay is about anyway). Or, I've been through something like this before. Tell him it was like that from the factory, and you didn't know. Then, offer him a partial refund if he wanted to keep it. You're not a retail chain, just one private seller, so him contacting the manufacturer is none of his concern. It sucks, Mike. Especially to you of all people, who can spot a foul from 10 miles away, but people on eBay are just plain (insert green Jofa practice jersey comment here). Bobcat1988
The only negative feedback I have ever received on eBay in over a decade was from a buyer who complained that a game used item (well photographed, no less) had too much wear. FuzzyPenguin
So what do you guys think about this? Did they ever use that crest at all in 1992? Patches look authentic and it's a golden toe. Bit to small for me but would be a nice pick up for someone potentially. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-Authentic-1992-Mario-Lemieux-Pittsburgh-Penguins-CCM-Center-Ice-Jersey-48-/141211804791?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item20e0e12477
LAK74
That jersey is definitely customized for the wrong year. My best guess is that it was manufactured towards the end of the 1989-90 season, when the gold toe crest was still used, and the jerseys just started to display the NHL shield. A real 1991-92 jersey would have in addition to the white toe crest, the newer, flat-buttoned fight strap, as well as the small separate size tag next to the Maska Ultrafil tag. I don't think the Cup patch is original; the numbers in the date look off. Not sure either about the Badger Bob patch, but would need a higher res pic to be more certain. LAK74
I think the question is more about whether the jersey has real game use by the player in question. I believe the lettering back then was still handcut, and tended to look a little sloppy at times, but it still looks pretty accurate, at least to me. Whether it's a real gamer or not is another issue, and I would not be certain at all.
