eBay version 3.0

Brilliant!

another option: If any of you are interested in one of his jerseys, and the price is still low enough for you to want to win it, bid and win. Then just leave a trail of the nastiest feedback rating you can muster up.

3 feedback but a 0 percent feedback rating. That means one of them are from the last 12 months.

More shill bidding, more auctions to report.

There's a bidder with 9 feedback pushing up the price too. Another shill. We can't do anything about eBay but he should be banned from this site, we should protect our own.

Not only is he a scumbag, he's an idiot too.

He doesn't realize that he makes it BLATANTLY obvious that he is shill bidding.

I reported every one of his listings. I recommend people take the time and do the same. Eventually eBay will take notice.

How convenient -- the bidder bid up to my max http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidderProfile&mode=1&item=251450501058&aid=a***u&eu=&bidtid=1388198798015&view=BUYER&ssPageName=PageBidderProfileViewBids_Buyer_ViewLink.

Could be someone wanting to buy a few jerseys at a good price, but 90% with the same seller?

Im very slow to call for someone to get banned, but c'mon Slim, do the right thing here

The seller is unrepentant and incorrigible. Consider the bids on this Ducks jersey. The last bid was placed yesterday around 4:15 EST.

I guess this sort of thing happens on eBay, and it’s up to the buyers to be careful. What disgusts and offends me is that he attempted to use this community to peddle his jerseys.

Yes a ban would be appropriate but really wouldn't do much. I think this tool bag may have self banned himself as I don't think he would even use this forum after this but then again he was "sorry" and remove some fake bids lol then went and continued.

I just woke up again, after going back to sleep again, after that super crazy amazing Russia-US game...this still a thing?

Hey Mike, don't I still owe you some money?

So, uh... yeah. Hello again, everyone. I hope your angry mob went well.

Here's another seller with some potentially nice stuff. I don't quite know why he has so many pictures in each listing, but yeah.

Edit: And this one too. Looks like many have original lettering too. Go go go.

If someone could please buy this so I can stop being tempted to overpay for it, I would really appreciate it.

That jersey is in no way mine, this isn't a shill situation. I really, really want it, but I really, really don't have $600 to spend on it.

I think he was responding to the pitchfork mob situation from the past couple of days... quite the shitshow indeed.

And, if you're itching for it, do it. See if the seller can ease up on the price. An original Devils 10th Anniversary shirt can only ever add to your collection.

Also, can Slim, sungod, or Mike comment on this? If it's real, it's a piece of history:

I get that but I could see how people might misconstrue my post if they read his right after it.

I have been in touch with the seller and I know what his bottom line is, and I still can't do it. If it's still available when I get back from vacation, and if I come back with money , maybe it'll change my view.

Just so you know, eBay charges 10 percent in fees. So assuming he'd be willing to do the transaction through Paypal outside of eBay (which is the exact same thing as Paypal protects buyers and sellers all the same as eBay), you could both cut out the middle man, and take 60 bucks off the transaction as he's really only netting 540-Paypal fees from the 600 dollar eBay sale.

If it's a jersey you really want, 540 is expensive, but to put things in to perspective, it's really not that much more than a fully customized Edge 2.0 would cost at retail.

Also, I'm assuming you might be in New Jersey since you're a fan. If both you and the seller agreed to meet in person and do a cash transaction, that cuts out the cost and hassle of shipping (20 bucks probably due to the insurance/signature required for an item of that cost), as well as another 20 bucks in Paypal fees (which are separate from eBay fees). In total, if you could convince the guy you aren't an axe murderer, and got him to agree to conduct it in person, you'd save him about 100 dollars in ebay/paypal/postal fees.

It really goes to show you how much sellers end up giving up in order to get the benefits of eBay and Paypal. As a seller, you'll never see 13 percent of everything you sell on eBay.

Not an axe murderer? Now that's a tough sell...

I've already been down that road with the seller, I know his bottom line, and I still think it's a bit high for me, although how often do you see game issued vintage Devils jerseys?

This one is kind of an "oops" for me. Supposedly new condition Koho authentic Devils jersey. Opening bid was $80, I threw that bid in figuring I'd get outbid.

Oops, I didn't. Looks like I'll be doing a Rafalski jersey.
