A little help on the Detroit Red Wings 75th Anniversary Patch. http://nhluniforms.c...ngs2000-01.html

I believe they wore them only a short time at the beginning of the season. Does anyone know if they wore them on both the Home and Away sweaters?

I've seen a few pics on the white sweater. I would think they would get lost on their dark sweaters but who knows. Thanks for any help..

If I remember correctly they only wore them for the first game or two of the season then the NHL told the Wings to take the patches off because they didn't get permision before hand to wear them for the season. Another one of Lord Bettman's rules no doubt. I find it hard to believe that no one in the Detroit orginization knew they needed permision to wear a patch on their jerseys.

After tonight's amazing Isles game against the NHL Officials and Pittsburgh Penguins, overcoming all odds to win 9-3, I am going to buy my Grabner jersey very very soon (so I can get my Matt Martin or Travis Hamonic jersey next).

I really want to try to make the NHL Rookie Faceoff patch. Can someone recommend a place to buy the twill? Preferably on eBay. And do you know where I can find an image of the patch?

I was inspired by this: http://thirdstringgoalie.blogspot.com/2010/09/hockey-jersey-training-camp-day-6-how.html

Thanks for any help!

The answer lies in the article!

The other supply you will need is some white twill, the same material used for putting names and numbers on jerseys, which is available from Stahl's, who should allow you to purchase material without an account as a guest. A yard of twill (51" x 36"), the smallest amount you can buy, will yield 16 pieces 9" x 12", which is slightly bigger than a sheet of transfer paper. A yard of twill should be big enough to last most collectors a lifetime and will cost approximately $9 plus shipping. We recommend the kind of twill without any adhesive backing, which Stahl's calls unc twill 51".

Hey, no lead is safe on the Isle. But...that game was absurd. Gillies, if that's who went after Tangradi, looked like an uncaged ape; he should be suspended for life. That game was absurd. And I wish someone would beat the crap out of Maxipad Talbot already...he infuriates me.

Let's play a game - http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=rangers+75th+anniversary+patch

All three of those look different. Which is the correct one? I say door number 2.

Hate to say it, but that might be the only fake one.

Really now? The other two each looked different compared to each other.

If you think that one is fake then how about this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130342180513&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I only ask cause it looks the same as the one he thinks is real and you think is fake, but is from a seller that people on here seem to trust to have other legit patches.

That looks like the real ones. The fake white has a "border" like thing near the edge of the patch. If you look on "door #2", the white border has a part that is raised.

I have a 2004 Western Conference ASG authentic that I want to get customized. On my replica, I used altanhl's patch. Another patch seller recommended to me has one too. They claim theirs is an official NHL ASG patch, altanhl claims his is officially licensed. The trouble for me is that the patches are slightly different:

!BeRsmy!BGk~$(KGrHqEH-CMErfCngchiBK8myRg7dQ~~_12.JPG

Top one is 4.25 x 5.5

Bottom is 3.5 x 5

I believe the real difference is the extra material around the edge. Which one is the best choice for an authentic jersey? If I read this thread right, the one with the extra material is probably the most accurate?

Pic from the game:

The patches on the game jersey and the first pic look the same to me.

Also I wonder why Rick Nash is autographing a Wild jersey, isn't that jersey foul?

he probably did the nordiques one next to it right after that. :^)

Thanks for the input.

Plus altanhl sells legit patches.

That's what threw me. His is the bottom one. Not that the net result sewn is all that different, but it does seem less accurate. How is that so if both are accurate NHL all star patches?
