I hope he can somehow retire a Blue Jacket and get a role in the organization when he's ready. 2003-04 CBJ Jody Shelley Home Set 1 - This was the last set of "Stinger" patched jerseys, thank god. This set would have been worn for home games during the 2003-04 preseason and the 10/11/2003 home game versus the Rangers. The new third, home and away styles would be announced 10/13/2003 and the new thirds were worn that night in a home game versus the Canucks. For so few games, this has some slight wear, as well as a huge neck repair and fight strap repair. Shelley had 4 total fights in the home navy that preseason and first home game. I suspect the damage occurred in the preseason because there wouldn't be a reason to repair this one after the last fight, but I have no way of confirming this. Maybe Nathan can chime in? This jersey is a little bit of a mystery since it has no set tag. More then likely it was worn during the 2002-2003 season because Cassels would have only worn the Stringer patch jerseys that year and for the preseason and first game of the year in 2003-2004 but like Johns Shelly jersey about would have a set 1 tag in it if it was one of those jerseys. From MLL Jamie Benn 2.0 Luke Schenn 2.0 Mikhail Grabovski 1.0 with Gilmour Patch. Don’t like this Gilmour patch as much as the one I had on my Schenn. Will probably replace it soon. Only Rangers, Yankees and Saints for me. Normally my rule is to only buy jerseys I can wear to games, but I break that rule for the Saints since I'm a Saints fan and I think they have the nicest jerseys in football. I'm not buying anything new until at least the end of the year, all I'm doing is the work I had planned for my Yankees project and everything else is on hold. I have the same rule concerning Monarchs players and only getting jerseys that were worn by former and current players. Suddenly there are ECHL, AHL, KHL, NHL, OHL, college, and Super Series jerseys in my closet. I will see a jersey I like and if that player was a one game call up its in my closet. If you are limiting it to Kings players only that still leaves hundreds of players that played for 4 or 5 teams each you can shoe horn into your collection. It helps limit the possibilities but you'll still feed the addiction. We all do. I mean I'm not going to go out of my way and make sure I get every home and away jersey, plus i only love the erly 90's Center Ice CCm jerseys and I'm only going to stick to those. Very nice. Yeah that's the one! I guess he was 18 at the time of the tournament and played in the white jersey only (if at all, have to find out). The other Slovakia one looks as though it was used more than for one game, so possibly pre-tournament as well. Unfortunately it did not come with any info.
