DropkickMurphy8
So I was in the city today, and Modells in Times Square is selling a knockoff Richards jersey. Not the first time either, they had a bootleg Yankees jersey a while back. Pics later.
ic0dex
That still doesn't explain what connection there is between the Burke jersey and the 1989 ASG. Did he just wear the jersey (along with 29 others) for a minute to take a picture or something, because I don't see how he would have used it in the actual All-Star Game. And would those large block CCM logos have been on a jersey as early as February 1989? They were never worn by the players they were just sold as memorabilia and the customer would get this stupid plaque, oh and the plaque numbered not the jersey. The jersey were just regular authentic on ice jersey. Also here is a 1987/88 Purple/Gold Kings jersey with big block ccm so yes some jerseys had big block in 88/89. i think we had this conversation in the past on this topic and we found other jersey that had big block ccm's on the hem and hey were late 80's jerseys too. http://www.ebay.com/...e#ht_700wt_1215
LAK74
Also here is a 1987/88 Purple/Gold Kings jersey with big block ccm so yes some jerseys had big block in 88/89. http://www.ebay.com/...e#ht_700wt_1215 I have a feeling that Kings jersey was made well after 1987. CCM continued to make some retail jerseys for several seasons after the design was retired. If that jersey was still being produced for retail in, say, 1990, it might have had the newer logo on it but with the older design.
ic0dex
They seller just sent me additional picture of the Burek jersey:

I would have to agree with you on this one because the Kings jersey has the wide fight strap (2 1/2") but the Devils jersey has the small fight strap (2") which was used up until 1990 I believe. You know now I have a feeling that that plaque does not belong to this jersey.
Brilliant!
There were prototypes made up by CCM with that hem logo for some teams that were about to ditch their current styles. That Kings one is definitely one of those. In fact, I believe that one of our members....he hasn't been here in a while though...has one of them AND a bunch of other prototype styles that never saw retail. cowboys
You know now I have a feeling that that plaque does not belong to this jersey. Yes those were only sold with the all star jerseys as the one you have the Link for Brett Hull

Yes those were only sold with the all star jerseys as the one you have the Link for Brett Hull James but that same seller that sold the Hull jersey had a 1988 LA Kings Gretzky jersey with the same plaque. I emailed the Hull seller and we'll see what's his story and how he got the jerseys with the plaques.

LAK74
Yeah, jersey appears legit but the font is way off (should have rounded numbers). You'd also have to be pretty huge to fit in a Nike 56...
WhalersNation
I've always liked this Leafs jersey, and I'm in the market for a CuJo jersey as well. Looks real enough, here's hoping it is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Curtis-Joseph-Toronto-Maple-Leafs-NHL-Jersey-Adult-XL-CCM-/280945120146?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item4169a25392#ht_1711wt_827

DC Red Wings
What is the story with this Red Wings TBTC, a reissue of some sort? Everything looks like an original other than the neck tag, which looks like a Reebok neck tag. Also looks like an airkit jersey, but the ones they wore weren't airknits. http://www.ebay.com/...=item337b6feb49
TMLFAN
vintage series where someone took off the neck tag but left the size tag.
Brilliant!
The back numbers are incorrect too. Well, at least the 1 is. The angle on the head of the 1 should be curved instead of straight.

Hockey Bob
This looks fake. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KOHO-Authentic-Jeremy-Roenick-No-97-Philadelphia-Flyers-Jersey-Sz-52-3XL-/180958061205?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item2a21f0e295#ht_1310wt_952 Can anyone confirm? ic0dex
Lets see if anyone can help, I know Gretzky played for the Phoenix Roadrunners during his stray with the Kings in 93. Here is the story: "On September 25th, 1993 Gretzky's LA Kings played their IHL minor league affiliate, the Phoenix Roadrunners, in a pre-season exhibition game. Gretzky, goaltender Kelly Hrudey and three other Kings regulars were "demoted" to the minor leagues for the event. The publicity stunt worked as a Roadrunners franchise record for attendance was established at 13,747. Gretzky scored twice as the Roadrunners beat the Kings 6-5 in an overtime shootout." What i want to know is if Gretzky ever wore the road vernon of that jersey?

thebiggoalie
Like thebiggoalie said above, it's a legit jersey. But don't listen to him. Flyers jerseys are awesome I'll admit, I actually owned one of those Flyers jerseys a few years ago with Forsberg on it. I actually liked that design. Thought it would have made it to the Edge-transfer nicely too, but they gave it up.
Girouxsalem
I'm really glad they decided to go back to the orange jerseys. I was never a fan of the black edges. As a matter of fact, I didn't really like their old white edges either... The new white one/winter classic one is better in all aspects.
