Fery Dumb Fake

That's a nice one, I had a little giggle while reading that.

Considering the last 3 or 4 retail authentics I have seen going for $400 to $500 I thought about putting this in the Deals & Steals section but I'm wondering if it is actually a gamer?

Thoughts?

Yup, it's good, but I don't think it's a steal - the authentics that go for 5 bills are '91 or '92 and are often customized as more desirable players than Buskas....most folks don't recognize when they're improperly customized.

When I used to go to Manitoba for work, I would see those at the MTS Centre all the time. I'd say about 3/4 of the jerseys were knockoffs and the remaining 1/4 were a split between premiers and indo edge.

What do you think about this Gretzky Oilers one? I wish the photos had been taken at better angles.

Actually, the lettering looks just fine. Like the Kings did between 1988-91, the Stars, for a few years after their inaugural season in Dallas (1993-94), often varied between CCM and Stahls fonts on their jerseys. The one in your picture is the Stahls, which looks just like the 1994-95 Modano gamer here:

In the earliest days of the Dallas Stars, you'll see a thinner, single layer font, like in this 1993-94 gamer, where the M is obviously different:

The jersey in your picture is not a 1993-94, though, because the jerseys in that first year had thinner hem stripes, triple-layer arm numbers, no "Dallas" over the "Stars" on the logos, and the green was a lighter shade.

You would think that the counterfeiters would have figured out how to make fake air-knit material by now but I figure that they aren't sticklers for detail. I'm glad that Edge 2.0 exists and that Edge 1.0 authentics are no longer made because once I see that fake Edge 1.0 material with a fight strap and "Reebok" tag on the back, I know it is a dead ringer for a fake.
