Tyler
wow thanks a lot for the quick reply you all saved me 90$ ! could you please help me spot a fake from a real? I mean I checked for everything another thread (real vs fake) mentionned and everything looked ok. what tipped you off so I don't make the same mistake next time (the thing that tipped me off and caused me to post on this forum is the team crest because I wasnt sure if it was supposed to do that since I don't own any reebok edge jerseys). Also, is there a site where I can find jerseys on sale? Ice Jerseys have some discounted merchandise but sadly not the ones I'm looking for. I'm just checking the alternative to see if I can get a good deal before buying it full priced. The jerseys on my want list are: San Jose Sharks alternate Montreal Canadiens Home with allstars game patch and centenial patch Toronto Maple Leafs Mats Sundin Home The shiny puffy crest, shiny letters and material of the jersey looked off. If the price is too good to be true, it is. It may be expensive, but real jerseys are worth it. Don't support jersey fakers, and they will die out at some point (fingers crossed). The jerseys on my want list are: San Jose Sharks alternate Montreal Canadiens Home with allstars game patch and centenial patch Toronto Maple Leafs Mats Sundin Home I'll list off the errors on that Leafs jersey; 1. Puffy crest and puffy numbers are a dead giveaway that the jersey is a fake 2. "Toronto Maple Leafs" on the crest is the wrong font 3. Wrong font on the name 4. Wrong shoulder patch's 5. Kessel isn't an alternate captain so there shouldn't be the A on the front (He wore it in the preseason but that doesn't count in my books) Anyways, if your looking for a Sundin Home I am selling a home Maple Leafs Edge jersey size 52 if your interested. See my sale thread for more info.
DominikRedWing
I´d like to buy this one but first of all I need to know your opinion Here´s the link: My link I think the NHL 75th anniversary patch could be bought with out any problems somewhere else. Looks a little fishy to me. The numbering looks too shiny and a little bubbly, which usually indicate a fake. I'm not so sure that jersey was ever made as a replica - although I could be wrong about that. The only versions of that Yzerman jersey I have seen are the TBTC and Mitchell and Ness. Clearly, that one is neither. I would avoid unless a second opinion tells you the opposite of what I have.

Unlike Matt, I'm in the legit camp. I think its a replica CCM vintage line based on the neck tag + CCM sans NHL crest on back hem. I'm not sure if CCM vintage line ever released that particular model though. Edit: Heres another in XXL, seller also says its the same vintage line. http://cgi.ebay.com/DETROIT-RED-WINGS-THROWBACK-JERSEY-YZERMAN-19-XXL-CCM-/300494683749?pt=US_Baseball_Fan_Shop&hash=item45f6e0fe65 See the "shine" on that one compared to the shine on this one (blatant knockoff) http://cgi.ebay.com/Detroit-Red-Wings-Jersey-Modano-90-White-Sz-54-/300494459687?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item45f6dd9327 See how the shine differs? Although it appears both these Yzermans are on a nameplate though...

Sluggermatt15
Thanks guys I appreciate you correcting me. Like I said I have no previous knowledge of ever seeing such a replica. So I deemed it as not legit. I'm glad there are multiple opinions on that jersey.

Brilliant!
Well, the jersey itself is okay but both fonts are completely wrong. I wouldn't but it's up to you obviously.

Thanks for the input. I think what I'll do is just wait and see if no one else bids. If it stays at 30 I'll bite. I dont mind the lettering being off a bit for that price. Dont really feel like paying $150+ to have a Domi done.

You could just strip it, save the jersey for later, then get it customized with another player. One man's loss is another man's gain. irish_eyes
If only it had the A. Anyone know if Cosbys will do just the A for me or do you have to get a whole jersey done?

Legit? That's what we board members call a "Griffenfood fake." HockeyMusic is right, that seller is known to sell various vintage fake NHL jerseys. He's also changed his seller account several times on ebay. He may think he's fooling people, but he's really not. Also, his jerseys are notorious for having fight straps that are WAY WAY WAY too long. They're commonly referred to as crotch straps for obvious reasons. But yes, AVOID HIM. Stay away from 20 West especially if it's a kit for a Rangers jersey. Here's what I got when I ordered Rangers kits from them: - The name was wrong (outlined, not drop shadow) - Name was fused to a twill nameplate (wasn't supposed to have a nameplate at all) - Sent kit for wrong jerseys (ordered for blue jersey, sent me kit for white) - They didn't use NHLPA kits They also continue to sell a Rangers kit on eBay and their website that claims the Rangers reversed the colors on their white jerseys in 2007 (which didn't happen). I have contacted them about this showing pictures of game worn jerseys and they still insisted I was wrong. The one positive thing was I eventually was able to get them to refund my purchase. QueenAnnesRevenge
This is a fake, isn't it? I do believe so, the crest look a bit puffy and the face looks shiny, it's hard to see if the feathers are chainstitched so I can't be sure on that but overall looks to be fake. Yeah, the crest and the chainstitching were what were throwing me off. Blackhawks fakes are looking a lot less awful nowadays though. F-liars
This is a fake, isn't it? Neck tags of legitimate regular white and dark jerseys will have the "Rbk" and vector logo. Special occasion jerseys (thirds, all-stars, winter/heritage classics, etc.) will have "Reebok".
