Maybe in the future though. It's also nice to see that the Reds still use the old double-knit jerseys still. That CoolBase crap just blows. akteon Posted July 8, 2011 Report Share Posted July 8, 2011 So I've got a 2003 Hockey Fights Cancer patch just like the one below (which is from Jeff's Koivu jersey) From NHLpatches.info I know it was worn from January 10th - 12th, 2003. According to the MeiGray population report for that year, I see that Mark Messier wore the patch on a blue/away jersey. Looking at the Rangers schedule from 2002-03 that matches a 1/11/2003 road game against the Pens. So what I don't know, is where the patch was worn on that jersey. I've looked at Getty and other photo sites and couldn't find pics from that game or any other Rangers game in that era where the HFC patch was worn. The pictures I could find of other teams with the HFC patch from that era had it on the right chest, but traditionally the Rangers wear patches on the right shoulder due to the nature of the diagonal RANGERS lettering. I did find a couple shots of Jagr wearing a HFC patch in 2008 on the right shoulder, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has any good ideas on how to know with a little more certainty if I should put the 2003 patch I have on the right shoulder of a Messier blue Koho Rangers jersey. There are quite a few of us that have been looking for those for a number of years. I frankly haven't ever seen one not on gamer, but people have claimed in the past they were given out to season ticket holders that season (I do know they did this with their 10th anny patch).
