I don't know whether to laugh because these guys are tanking to get a good draft pick or to cry because we were looking like a lock for a playoff spot but now it clear that there is absolutely no hope of this team getting better anytime soon. I just want to say I think it's embarrassing for two of the most iconic franchises in sports history in the Leafs and the Habs to be last and second last in the Eastern Conference. Both organizations should be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen but at least the Habs took steps yesterday to correct that. Can't say the same for the Leafs. Anyways, back to sanity. This came in and as you can see the customization job was horrible. Twill nameplate, wrong number font/size, wrong name font, nothing was right on it. Broke out the seam ripper and went to work. Everything came of nicely and after a wash the jersey is in great shape ready to be re-customized. A few months back, he was selling a few authentic NYI 25th patches on eBay. I asked him if he had any remaining. He said he only had one left, which he sold to me. I was hoping he had more, as i needed a couple of more for my NYI 'Wave' jerseys. Those Cup Centennial Patches repos or authentics? If authentic, any interest in unloading one? So did the team recycle the Evason to put Craven on it? Also, interesting that the white one has the 75th patch but the hem line tag doesn't have the orange NHL shield next to the CCM on the hem. Lots of great jerseys posted this week. Those are sweet. White one must be a recycled set two from 1989-1990, as I think this is the only time they had the individual CCM embroidery without the shield, let me know if I am wrong guys. Had the Rangers patch added and i know its not right it needs a nameplate (This was one of those valqual ones for $100 which was missing the shoulder patch and has no plate which i need to get fixed sometime in the future). I just did some research and found the Whalers jersey was constantly changing during this era. 1989-90: Air-Knit, straight stripes higher up on the sleeves 1990-91: Mesh, diagonal sleeve stripes, league-wide NHL shield on back hem begins 1991-92: Ultrafil, straight stripes lower down on the sleeves 1992-93: Ultrafil, new blue/gray design Dean Evason was traded a couple days before the first 1991-92 regular season game at Quebec, so I think the green one was already prepared with his name. The Whalers acquired Murray Craven a month later and he was given Evason's number. The white one doesn't show Evason's name being stripped. But seeing how you can only dish out, I will be more sensitive towards your feelings towards the rules and regulations.
