Ha! Instead of buying it at $85, people got greedy...now it's at $51 with 6 days still left. Wanna bet it goes for more than $85 ?

BTW, this is an absolute steal - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150638226657&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT

...or not

Wow, that guy sucks for selling that as a gamer.

I am glad I bought the Turgeon with the authentic 20th ann. patch. Paid less than the Kasper! (Though, the Kasper would fit me...the Turgeon feels like a 3/4 length tshirt). Nice pick up!

I was watching this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330594704818&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT, but I have been spending too much on jerseys and it should be kiss cut.

Well then I probably shouldn't show you this - http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-New-York-Islanders-Center-Ice-Jersey-48-WAVE-/330597505140?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.OPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D330594704818%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D1837441850467545241#ht_500wt_1413

Thanks, i'm pumped about the Kasper, even if i end up stripping it. Guess I gotta see it 1st but compared to the blank that went for twice as much I feel I made out alright.

I'd say this was a pretty good deal -

http://cgi.ebay.com/...utorefresh=true

Speaking of which, anyone here happen to steal his rare Canucks 3rd?

http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item3a689f6a38

He sold them to someone who made an offer for 425. I messaged him about a couple of his jerseys.

Wow, that guy sucks for selling that as a gamer.

Why? As far as I'm concerned, it is.

Any Oilers authentics (aside from Keener's repros, which don't have NIKE collar tagging - http://cgi.ebay.com/...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT) are actual gamers, from what I've seen. I've never come across anyone owning a 'retail' version.

As the story goes, the team had a bunch of old no-name gamers, practice used jerseys (often blank game jerseys), and supplies left in storage (the proper materials/numbers/letters that they used). In 2005 they had a huge sale where they sold off most of them (I think it was a charity thing), having converted them into Gretzkys, Messiers, Fuhr's, etc (all the big names), using the proper materials.

So chances are if you find an authentic NIKE Oilers from the 80s, it was a gamer, a game-issued, or old stock from the team.

Plus, at least the seller states that it was a gamer used by a 'member of the 87-88 team', and was converted into Wayne's famous 99. He isn't trying to pass it as a game worn Weiner Wayne (Brilliant!) -

UP FOR GRABS IS A 1987/88 GAME USED EDMONTON OILERS NIKE ROAD JERSEY. THIS GAMER WAS CONVERTED TO WAYNE'S FAMOUS 99. SHOWES GREAT WEAR WITH PUCK AND STICK MARKS. THE SLEEVES HAVE BEEN SHORTENED LIKE WAYNE DID. THE JERSEY HAS SOME REPAIRS DONE TO IT BY THE TRAINERS OF THE OILERS BACK IN THE 80'S. THIS IS SIZE XL- JUST LIKE WAYNE WORE. THIS IS A TRUE GAMER- THIS IS NOT A JERSEY THAT WAS MADE TO LOOK LIKE THE REAL DEAL. THIS WAS WORN BY A MEMBER OF THE 1987-88 STANLEY CUP OILERS.

Then there's these, which are still pretty nice, but overpriced, IMO - http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-Wayne-Gretzky-Oilers-Nike-Fight-Strap-Jersey-/330597505609?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item4cf9259a49&autorefresh=true

I picked up the Leafs and passed on that Islanders but feel pretty good about picking this one up from the same seller.

That seller had a couple of really cool jerseys this time! I was bidding on an authentic Belfour Sharks jersey, a KOHO Fleury jersey and a Brunette Minnesota Wild Pro Player jersey. I was outbid on the first two and won the Brunette jersey, which was a bit of a steal: Click!

Ditto, plus he had a white Nike non-gameworn authentic a la Weiner Wayne which will be appearing in an "It arrived today" posting near you......

Ehhhh yeah I guess. I didn't realize it was a legit gamer. That's actually pretty sweet then.

I know someone got that mark Howe 80's authentic 48 jersey. Steal for 125.

Yeah, wish I'd seen it -

You have seen this one right?

http://cgi.ebay.com/...T#ht_556wt_1185

Yeah, I've got it on my watch list, but I definitely prefer to get game issued or retail authentics, as opposed to gamers with stick/puck marks, etc.

I like clean jerseys.

Thanks for the heads up though!

This was a deal, btw -

GRETZKY DID NOT WEAR STARTER WITH THE KINGS.

Sorry, I just had to get that out. Buncha dolts they are. Dolts!

Haha I was thinking the same thing. Cause I was gonna take a stab at that and then I was like "wait a minute..."
