Not sure if it was a factory reject without the CCM and NHL shields, or if they made a pro version without crests and it was added later, (kind of like CCM 15000 pro models with no cresting) Nonetheless, it's a pretty cool piece, it does show some marking and a small hem repair, but if anything, the original owner probably wore it to some pickup hockey. Apparently the guy's mom had bought it for him from Value Village in east van a couple years back for a jersey to wear to play pickup hockey. He was looking to sell it and my friend who plays roller hockey with him thought i'd be interested Maybe Gretzky wanted to donate to a local community... Ha! MountainKing Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 I agree, they both look too low. And about what patch to put on it, doesn't leave you a whole lot of choice. It looks like that's one of the earlier 90's Ultrafil ducks jerseys, pre shoulder patches. If you're a stickler for accuracy, they didn't wear those to the Stanley Cup finals, they wore CCM airknit. The only patch I know of that they wore in those jerseys was the "FGW" memorial patch on the left shoulder. Hope that helps! And PS: Paul Kariya BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (this is coming from a die hard Ducks fan too!) I'm open for other player suggestions. I'm a Hawks guy but love everything southern California. I remember watching the Ducks during that time now and then but I was really young so I'm only familiar with the big names and always liked what I saw in PK. The red looks much too dark when I put it up against the jersey, not going to have it sewed on. They mentioned beforehand that there were difficulties finding the actual material, so they would have to die it and get it as close as they can. Not too sure what I'm going to do now actually. Anyways, He's in a little slump right now but hopefully the team starts to play better and he can start putting some more in the back of the net. Finally got this one done, The nameplate is slightly darker then the jersey but the funny thing is the jersey itself is actually two different shades of purple. The front and arms are one shade which matches the nameplate but the area on the back where the nameplate goes is slightly lighter then the rest of the jersey for some reason. Anyways, here it is.
