I came here to ask questions, and I get sh*t on because I don't collect jerseys or understand why something sells for that kind of money. I, personally, if I had the money to spend, would do other things with it. I'm sure everyone else on here would love to have that jersey BECAUSE Herb Brooks is such a legend, but I'm not one of those people. I'm not in any position financially to collect anything, I simply don't have money. I probably shouldn't have even purchased the two replicas I have OR the one I have on the way. I'm not and never will be a collector, I'm a Rangers fan. You're right, I don't understand why a hockey sweater would ever be worth the prices I see them go for because they're gamers. I probably never will either, because I know what it's like to NEED money and not have it. There's a lot of things I wish I could afford, but I can't and I have to live without them. You guys are obviously all loaded and money means nothing to you. I'll keep mine in my pocket and be happy with the handful of replica jerseys I own. Don't sh*t on me because I'm not a collector and don't understand the price a hockey jersey demands. I know, buddy this is like the 2nd or 3rd time you have told everyone you aren't in collecting or getting a sweater correct, and that no one will know anyways. I guess I just don't understand what you are trying to accomplish on this board. Many people on here have been trying to help you find that liberty sweater, myself included. This board is a symbiotic place we all help each other if we can, but it seems like your plan is to get what you want and belittle the hobby along the way. You are posting about 7-8 times a day and its usually about nothing. Just relax with all the useless commenting and post questions or something helpful. Im no millionaire myself but i spend what money i have left on jerseys after bills, neccessity's etc. I dont have a major issue with you not being a collector but dont keep harping on that fact and that your broke as i dont think any of the board members are millionaires themselves either but we still buy jerseys as that is our passion. Some of you have a lot of jerseys I'd LOVE to get my hands on, but I know I can't justify buying any of them so I hang around here and drool over the jerseys you guys post. Do I think I'll have a closet or two full of hockey jerseys one day? Probably, maybe 5 years from now, but 99% of it is going to be Rangers jerseys so I can actually wear them to games. Maybe I'll even find some of the rare ones that I want and wrap them in plastic and only take them out to show my friends who are hockey fans and would actually understand. Collecting things is an expensive hobby, clearly, from the fact that a used aston martin runs upwards of 100k. I don't need to "know anything" about "collecting" to know that unless its a Wayne Gretzky game worn jersey, it's not worth thousands of dollars to me. Don't take it personally, I feel the same way about people who spend 10's of thousands of dollars on a watch. I see people walking around with Boliva watches, Rolex, etc and I ask myself why anyone would pay that kind of money for something that tells you what time it is. I spent 30 bucks on my watch, and it tells me what time it is just as good as a $40,000 watch. Sure, it may not look fancy and I'm not going to impress anyone with it, but I'm not trying to impress anyone.I'm not rich, I don't have 100k to blow on anything, much less an aston martin. If I had 100k to spend on something, it better has Wayne Gretzky's sweat on it. It's not a knock on any of you guys, I understand you're all collectors. I'm not, I don't have the money to have any expensive hobbies. I had to give up the one thing I actually enjoy doing because I can't afford it anymore, so I'm certainly not in any position to spend thousands of dollars on something unnecessary and I'll never understand why someone would. Whether it goes vrooom or not, an aston martin is not and never will be that valuable to me. I can live without it, I'll be much happier with that money in my pocket. Now imagine if I had posted that on some huge car fanatic forum, and how I would be perceived there. Do you see why some of your comments are not as well received here?
