STAY AWAY i love the hand written note from a guy that got it from Craig Billington. Now i have seen it all. The bad thing is that someone is going to actually buy that jersey for 1k+ ...thats my bet Yes that made me chuckle as well. I see that I now must enter the field of game worn jersey authentication. The guy Joe (he sends me a lot of emails) said that was their cost. I don't believe him, but that is the cost of a customized replica from NHL.com, so I am happy! Thats an awesome pick up...when it shows can you post a pic of the Lake Placid patch for me. I have a sabres sweater from that era and would like to try to find that patch, so it would be cool to see how well they did with it. RULE NUMBER 1 IN COLLECTING GAME WORN DO NOT BUY SOMETHING WHERE THE AUTHENTICATION IS "A COLLECTOR WAS GIVEN THIS BY X" If the collector was given something by a nhl player he would have kept it! In the event he would actually want to sell it he probably would be able to coo-borate his story with a little proof and not a hand written note! I should know - I paid $150 for mine ($100 for a blank and $50 to customize). It is an extremely heavy weight mesh, great quality, but fits a little off (long and skinny). You own baiscally a jersey for every player to have played for the Avs, this is an easy one for you That auction looked like crap from the beginning. It has since been ended. Who knows what happened behind the scenes. The nameplate was awful and the "COA" was even worse. That jersey may have been game worn, but not in the NHL! It's great don't get me wrong, but if you're trying to see fine details and the enlarge is totally useless you can always use the "zoom" which pixelates the hell out of the photo...
