Actually I think the skinny font is correct... it's the material of the name plate. I'm assuming they just ran out of gold air-knit. I asked Angelos and he thinks what they used is gold Xtrafil. AngeloS76 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Share Posted February 13, 2014 Here's some better shots of the two Cam Neely shirts I got not too long ago, with some close-up shots of the wear on the alternate shirt. http://imgur.com/a/c9TZG The gold shirt is Air-knit size 54, CCM and NHL shield both embroidered. Set 1 1995-1996 stamped inside the hem. There is some wrinkling on the front and back body, some red scrapes on the left arm, and what look like some non-colored scrapes on both arms. The scrapes almost look like the remnants of a number change that took some material with it. The shirt has a Set 1 95-96 stamp inside the hem, and the lettering is accurate to the original (per usual). What's interesting to note is that even though the shirt is air-knit, the nameplate is Star-Knit, which would suggest that the lettering was done after the 95-96 season. The black shirt is Ultrafil size 54, with embroidered CCM and a sewn-on NHL patch. Set 1 1996-1996 stamped inside the hem. Original 1996 ASG patch on the left chest (really cool to have one in person, the repros stink in comparison). The wear was hard to capture on camera, but like the gold shirt, it shows wrinkling on the front and back of the body, as well as pilling on the underarms and the front of the shirt close to the hem. I couldn't make out any burns or scrapes on the arms or shoulders, but the fight strap does have some salt residue on the inside. I don't know if that's from somebody wearing the shirt to play, or if it's a by-product of washing. So, there it is. Two really nice looking authentic shirts. Here is the start and it's a project jersey. got this Canada jersey from eBay and it had a silly weird Canada crest on it and it was already customized with #53 but no name and was very cheap. I decided to roll with the #53 make this a Jeff Skinner jersey. Technically it is the same collar as the Olympics jersey but I need to get a regular crest for it. Getting an Olympics crest was going to be near impossible anyways I plan to wear this one on the ice Eventually this one... The A is completely off and the 1 unless its the stretch of the material is very slanted. I personally would get that redone...horrible especially knowing the rarity and cost of the jersey.. The name font, the number font, and the Alternate Captain's A. That's a shame. I mean it looks good, but not when compared to the right stuff. And given the rarity and cost, it would probably be best to have it redone, and to ask for some money back from GameDay, given the problems. Gameday isn't the official lettering company. No matter who you take it to, other than Bobcats, you will not get the on-ice specs. If oxbo is ok with it, then keep it as is. brandon Posted February 14, 2014 Report Share Posted February 14, 2014 Just landed this 2010-11 Nick Spaling Predators Alternate. Its pretty cool that its a 1.0. I photomatched the black mark on 1 on the left sleeve and something a bit weird is going on with the left sleeve. It looks like someone to a pair of scissors to it at the end but its longer than the other. I think it may just never been finished by Reebok, there are so signs of any stitching ever being done to finish it off. One of my favorite styles ever and it now puts me @ 50 Preds gamers! I entertained the idea of getting one of those made, but never got around to it. If you ever think of selling it, let me know.
