I am pretty sure the bidder knows exactly what he/she is bidding on.

I have seen that user name in other Kings auctions.

Probably just has deep pockets.

The crazy thing is the bidding war the two are having with so much time left in the auction.

They are just driving up the price on each other.

I see no point in bidding so early.

Almost looks like a personal grudge. Two guys that have knocked heads with each other before so they're just beating each other up.

Heck of a way to prove a point.

Seriously.... $450 for a Thrashers KOZLOV jersey?!?! Atlanta's been out of the NHL for what, 10 months? So a Thrashers jersey is worth MORE than a black skate Canucks Mogilny?! Really? :noway:

I bought a game worn Kozlov Thrashers jersey for less than that during one of MeiGrays sales.

I think you are paranoid about shill bidding. Some people just incrementally bid like that. Look at the info for that bidder, he has 9 feedback and has bid on auctions of 22 other sellers. If he had 1 or 0 feeback and bid only on the auctions of that one seller, then you may have a case. But the guy just bid like an idiot, which may be annoying, but isn't illegal.

There are people that get so caught up in not wanting to overpay on eBay they feel like they need to manually incrementally bid instead of just bidding their max and let eBay's autobid do the work.

2 things, Totally proves i'm type A and a stickler for accuracy even when it comes to things outside of jerseys. Case in point, instead of laughing at the picture posted by Guam all I could think about was that "Loose one turn" should read "Lose one turn". God i'm a loser...

But in more related interesting news, I actually had an ebay bidder on one of my auctions over a year ago that incrementally bid $1.00 margins from $1.00 all the way until it hit $140.00 because I had placed a reserve price on the item ($150.00). I got an ebay message from him saying he just wasted 10 minutes making bids to find out what my reserve price was and didn't want to bid "any higher than I need to" and asked me what my reserve was.

So in short, some people who are legit bidders may just do stupid things. The way they do it is not fraudulent or illegal or wrong, it's just not logical. The whole concept of an Auction is to make your highest bid and see if it wins, if you're outbid either quit or bid again. Why people consistently bid in small amounts is their decision but you can't always jump to shill bidding being the explanation. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule like the unexplaned $400+ price on a Nike Hawks, or New York Rangers Mesh going at $350 used and crested wrong.

Picked this up on eBay last night. $199 + free shipping, not bad considering a blank went for $400 earlier in the week.

Link don't work :(

it's a 1996-1999 Nike authentic red Blackhawks Chris Chelios jersey. Still has all the tags on it! A white blank went for $400 earlier in the week.

Unfortunely I won't be able to post pics until it gets delivered.

The white blank should NOT have gone for even close to $400...it's an anomaly

Isn't this a Gretzky Nike jersey?

Certainly not CCM Vintage Gretzky, because I have one of those and the numbers look different. So does the nameplate.

Where does it say Nike? I think it's just a regular replica jersey.

The numbers look like ones on the original Gretzky jersey.

Take a look:

http://www.nhluniforms.com/Oilers/Oilers1982-83.html

and then compare it to this:

He means the jersey itself is a CCM. It don't say Nike anywhere in the Auction.

Gretzky ONLY wore Nike Mesh with the Oilers.

Any of the duel CCM patches or orange, orange, blue CCM hem tag versions are all without him

Your "CCM vintage Gretzky" is a china fake so you can't compare the lettering to anything.

Where do you see his supposedly fake jersey? I don't see a link to his collection anywhere....

Over priced and over rated. I'ma BIG KINGS fan and that is one of my favorite jersey but I don't think a replica should cost so much. The most I'll pay for a BK replica is $300 but it has to be a Xl or bigger.

Good luck with that. If I ever find one for a reasonable price somewhere locally, I'm immediately throwing it on eBay with a $300 starting bid.

Where were all these people when I was struggling to sell my customized BK replica about a year and a half ago

Is anyone else watching this? I might make a late bid if it doesn't go too high.
