These are the first two 6100 jerseys I've ever owned, and they have a pretty cool story behind them...I picked up those two jerseys blank at a local sports memorabilia store in New Jersey a year ago. Apparently the owner of the store knows the owner of Meigray and these jerseys were meant to be used by the Devils for the 2006-07 season until Reebok replaced hockey jerseys with the Edge "uniform system." So I guess this is somewhere between an authentic and a game-issued jersey. Anyway, you can see the outline of where the Meigray tag was taken off on these jerseys in the picture below.

That is a prety cool story indeed. Good choices on putting Brodeur and Parise on the back :)

Exclusive Pro put on this IIHF patch either by accident or just to be nice, but it was the current one, which is incorrect, so I stripped it off and managed to do so without damaging the jersey or even the patch at all. I can't think of anything I would need this patch for, so if anyone wants it, it's yours for the cost of shipping. :stickhndl:

AHHHHH I LOVE the Scott Bertoli Titans jersey!! That is just AWESOME!! I've been looking for that style for a while now to no luck. I was at every single home playoff game but one during their Cup run in 2004-05.

The rest are dynamite too! That Flames jersey is just SCREEEEEEAMING for Doug Gilmour. Screaming!

What's up with that Tony Tanti jersey though? I've never seen the white inside the flying skate on a gold jersey like that.

I absolutely LOVE that 1992 All-Star jersey with the NHL 75th Anniversary patch. I've been looking for one of those for years. Great pick up. Keep me in mind if you ever part with it.

Haha it was actually your post in this thread of a white game worn Bertoli jersey that inspired me to buy this, eventually got it blank on ebay for $30. Then it took me over a year to finally figure out and get pictures of what the font should look like since it changed once or twice and I wanted it to correspond accurately to the lack of any patches. Also the fact that Bertoli was an alternate and I think eventually the captain threw another monkey wrench into this. Finding pictures of this stuff was almost impossible. Finally I came up with a bunch of pictures that showed what certain letters should look like and how the numbers should be and hoped that EPS could figure it out and I'm very pleased with the work they did.

The only thing is that I can't find any pictures of this style jersey with this particular font with no patches on it. Most of the patches were just advertisements though, and I don't really care about being a walking advertisement for the sake of having a more accurate jersey. It would be cool to have a Kelly Cup patch on this, but I've never seen those sold for retail. My jersey mostly corresponds to Bertoli's rookie season, 2001-02, but there should be a little American flag patch on the left of the chest. I guess that won't be too hard for me to eventually complete.

And yea that playoff run was a great time, especially that one game in the finals where they were getting slaughtered after the first period and came back to win.

Cool story. The only place where I know these types of jerseys came from was Meigray. The removed Meigray tag is a clue. Here's a picture, way tougher to see than on the red, of an alternate Avs jersey that I got through an eBay seller that had it on eBay.

The other clue that these jerseys come from Meigray is the RBK vector on the neck and the old NHL shield on the tail. I had another Meigray blank made into a Hejduk.

As compared to my Hejduk game used jersey with the new NHL shield.

By the way, did you get the Brodeur and the Parise done through EPS? They look great. I have a white Brodeur 6100 that I want to get done right eventually. Let me know!

the RBK on the neck on the meigray one looks noticeably more vibrant too eh? Or is that a lighting/picture thing?

I think that is a lighting thing, although you're gonna make me check my jerseys when I get a chance just to make sure! :) Great catch!

Yea they do the Devils on-ice jerseys so there's no better place to get a Devils jersey done.

I didn't even notice the fact that these jerseys have the old NHL shield with the Reebok logo on the neck. That's pretty weird, were they going to switch back to the old shield on the jerseys for that season or something? Doesn't seem to make sense.

EPS did a fantastic job on those. Nothing better than getting your jerseys done by the place that does that team's on ice jerseys.

It just seems that some of the jerseys from that 2005-2006 season, the first season for the RBK version of the 6100s, that made it to the ice had a new shield sewn over the old one. These are gamers from my collection:

John-Michael Liles burgundy game used

Just one of those quirks that were from that Koho/CCM to Reebok transition. I call them "hybrids."

And feel free to refer to your Brodeur and your Parise as blank game issues. The lack of retail Reebok neck tagging and the removed Meigray tags will make that hard for anyone to argue with that.

that Tanti looks a bit beat up, but its still something you dont see everyday! Definitely a nice haul of jerseys though

The Tanti is an odd one. The crest is in fact a bit off and there had been a nameplate over the TANTI (which is sewn directly to the jersey). I don't have any reason to think it's even a preseason gamer, so I'm on the hunt for a fresh 80s-era crest.

I was planning on going the Doug Gilmour route for the Flames jersey, just as soon as I can find a 1989 Cup Final patch for the shoulder.

Hmmm...you'd probably spoil it with a Messier or Leetch or Richter job, so I guess you're out of luck. Mwahahahahhahaa!!!!!

(Just kidding. I'll let you know if I ever have plans on moving it)

The 04-05 lockout season was initially planned to be the first RBK season, which explains the old NHL logo. There are MGG jerseys from 05-06 with the 04-05 tags and supplemental 05-06 tags next to them.
