Been searching for a Devils retro forever, decided to bite the bullet and go with a game issued that also came with the matching retro game issued helmet.

Pro Tip: register for a Getty account (they are free) and it removes the watermark. With some small tweaking they're usually good enough to print a 4x6 with.

It wont let me embed it but give it a try.

Thanks!

Holy Crap, Kurt!!! Nice job. Love the Chara gamers and the choice for Prospal on the third jackets jersey!

Thanks! I was stumped on who to go with and he used to be a flyer but the biggest deciding factor was the #22 looks awesome in their 3rd jersey font. Plus he wears an A

I will never understand why the Oilers ever went away from that design. The royal and orange is just perfect. It's nice to see they brought back the colored shoulders too. That really makes the white one.

I wasn't gonna keep the oilers and then decided they were far too nice to get rid of, they're beautiful in person. You'll see them soon buddy :)

Been lurking here for a while, but wanted to share two of my sweaters. Apologies in advance for any poorer than normal photos.

First is a 1.0 that I picked up a few years ago. Originally done up as a Kessel by Custom Crafted until he burned some bridges and left town, I took it back to CC and had it turned into a Savard last year. I still wish the NHL would go back to white jerseys at home and colors on the road. Used to make games so much more interesting sweater wise.

And some close ups of the name plate/number with the faux layering.

This 2010 WC is a recent pickup I was searching for years to find. Sent it off to EPS to do as I didn't want to ship up and back to CC. EPS managed to get it back to me in time for the B's/Rangers game at MSG, had to represent the Black and Gold at my first game of the season.

I chose a B's HOF'er (yes.... I know he didn't wear it, but The Chief is well... The Chief.)

Before I post the picture I have to say this jersey has been great to me. When it arrived, it was just trashed. Stains up and down the thing. Blotchy rust stains, big spill stains, just a mess all over. A two day soak in OxyClean and bam, it all came 100% out. I was blown away. You cant use Goof-off on Durene so it was my only hope.

It was customized with a #4 and it came off perfectly, no glue and it ironed right out. Cant even tell it was ever done. I just finished stripping tonight and couldn't wait to post it. And just FYI the top of the sleeves look a little different in color because they are wet.

Mid 70's New York Islanders Rawlings Durene Size 52

It turned out just awesome!

Now the issue is in the early to mid 70's the Isles Rawlings Durene jerseys had collars with strings. When they switched to no strings, the logo change to how this jersey is with no outer blue layer. But it seems they mostly switched to mesh jerseys. If I had to make a guess, Id say it was some sort of sample or pre-season jersey for 77-78 but I'm really not sure. The only time I've found a matching combination via a picture it was Billy Smith. And that's just what I'm going to make it. The crest is a little beat up but I think I'm going to leave it just how it is. It's now the oldest jersey in my collection, cant wait to get it done up!

great choice on the Prospal. if you need a guide at all, check out the gamer (that I was very, very fortunate to get thanks to a couple of fellow collectors and others) on my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=48657283@N05&q=prospal%20alternate

you have to look close, but note that the "A" has dark blue twill behind it.

That's awesome, Brandon. I have the same exact style with the same tag and a Gerry Cosby's tag. Does it have any type of fight strap?

No fight strap, I was thinking of getting one from Vintage MN hockey in the loop style but did goalies have them back then? Billy Smith was the man so I want to get this one done up right.

I think in most cases back then, the straps were an afterthought, sewn in if necessary. You don't have to order it from them. Just use a garter from your hockey equipment. You can use the clip on it, or just see a loop using the elastic part from it.
