CAPTAIN KIRK ??????.......

I don't think that jersey is fake enough. The auto makes it look even WORSE! That's probably the bait to get someone to buy it though.

It looks like a griffenfood special. Look at the hem, definitely not legit.

Note the description states the jersey is customized as HAULAT not HAVLAT. But then the seller goes on to say "one of a kind, extremely hard to find"

I saw this Lidstrom All Star 2000 jersey while browsing eBay and it didn't look right, I knew it would be an authentic but why did it look so wrong. Then I remembered a few times the goalies have worn the opposite colour scheme to their players. So this person has customized a goalie shirt with a players name and number - wrong font, wrong colours, no shoulder patches and the name should be under the number. Turek was the starting goalie for the World stars, with Kolzig and Salo on the bench. Hah, a couple of names you probably wouldn't associate with "All Star".

I hope whoever is bidding on it is planning on stripping it and making it a Kolzig jersey (with German flag on the shoulder). I would imagine this is quite a rare jersey for an authentic?

The Capitals logo shoulder patch used from 1996-00 had the wordmark on it and it's ###### near impossible to find even as a reproduction. Incidentally the only time I have seen it on a non-gamer was on a Kolzig jersey from that ASG.

Yeah, I saw that one and was going to strip it and make it into a correct lidstrom, with shoulder patches, etc, and then I found out about the color issue while looking for the correct font. Is it a rare jersey? It ended up selling for $99, which I guess is a deal if it doesn't come up for sale that often.

Lemieux NEVER played in the 2003 ASG!! What a waste of a replica All-Star jersey IMO. :glare:

you're right, he never played. But he was voted on the team

Mario Lemieux was voted as a starter, but was unable to play due to injury. Vincent Lecavalier was selected as his replacement, while Jeremy Roenick was named as his replacement in the starting lineup

Yeah, he didn't play. But they did make game-issued jerseys with MeiGray tags. Here's one:

If I recall he was supposed to be there, but was injured...pretty sure that was the situation....hence the GIs

Yes he was voted in but didn't dress. I believe it was the same in 01 also.

I'm tempted to customize my 2004 All-Star jersey with 66...it's just so dang beautiful, and you have to figure that if he'd played more than 10 games, he would've been voted in!

That, and the fact that there was nobody else on that Eastern team I'd want on a jersey (with the exception of maybe Gary Roberts as a Leaf or Jagr as a Ranger [shudder]).

My Western All-Star will one day become a Guerin, however...that much is certain!

The 2004 All-Star jerseys are probably the finest example of said style since 1991-92...ESPECIALLY the West one with that awesome forest green. The old-school felt letters with straight-line stitching and that ribbed collar were just so classy looking.
