Nope never did.

This kinda stuff is huge pet peeve of mine, I can't stand putting a player on a jersey

from another era they never wore. On the Jersey Foul blog, they had a guy with a Modano Wild jersey.

That ranks up there with your own name or phrase.

JeffB can attest to the woman at the Wild game with the "Walzwithme" jersey. ugh.

HA! Ive seen her! How weird.

Does Ebay not have any kind of failsafe for scumbag users rejoining under different names?

Absolutely not. There's one sociopath who thinks he is a great customizer and collector from my area that has burned through at least five user names, all suspended for excessive negatives due to non-delivery of jerseys, name and number kits and hoodies with jersey crests sewn on.

Details starting here.

Wow. Well "my-ice" is what "Griffenfood" was. So DO NOT buy from him. I'm assuming "Griffenfood" got shut down and restarted.

EDIT: here's his eBay profile my-ice

Can someone give me an executive summary of griffenfood?

I almost bought a jersey from him and am wondering what the deal is with that seller.

thanks,

griffenfood sells reproductions of classic jerseys, they are not actual nhl licensed jerseys. I think he makes them himself. He states they are reproductions but in a very lawyeresque way, if I have to put a term on it. He gives just enough information so that he is not liable for you being unhappy that it isn't real.

There are a lot of tip offs that his jerseys are fake. Some of the pictures he displays show this. A real big indicator is the fight straps on his jerseys are like 12 inches long....

playing devils advocate here, just curious.

How is what griffenfood does and Vintage Minnesota Hockey different? They both make reproductions.

Is it how griffenfood words things? If he was to be more upfront about it, would that be okay?

Or is it about the quality first and foremost? Out of all the knockoff out there, they're pretty darn good.

I think the way he words things is the biggest problem, if he was more up front about it, that would make things better. I believe brilliant commented that the quality is good on them. I can't comment on the quality as I have never seen his jerseys in person. With Minnesota Vintage hockey they are up front with the fact that they are reproductions. They don't dance around the issue, as well as infringe on copyrights as griffenfood does labeling his jerseys with CCM tags

I just won this bad boy, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

If you guys want some different jerseys from the English league, check him out. He has a relationship with the manufacturer who supplies the league with their uniforms...I am actually going to try and customize this myself as the name/number are all just single color. I have two great pics to work off of as well.

For the arm numbers...

For the back... Edit: fount it...

well, there was a really good one of him walking out of the tunnel, can't seem to find it very quickly though...

The CCM copyright is his biggest problem, especially if they decided to go after him.

He's been trying to sell that Jets jersey for a while now. If he didn't charge $30 and use UPS to ship to Canada that jersey would be gone by now.

I have had way more success charging actual shipping prices compared to trying to gouge off of the shipping charges. I just charge a flat 20 dollar rate and then refund any difference. And avoid UPS like the plague.

Just my opinion, but just by charging the 20 dollar rate to ship even if you offer to refund the difference is a turnoff for me, UNLESS you are a 100% seller with a reasonable list of sells. Of course thats just my opinion.

Yea, I can see that. However, I have close to 400 feedback, no negatives, and have noticed an actual $$$ difference in bid amounts. Shipping ranges between 12-18 for me depending on weight and stuff, so sometimes I refund 8 bucks. Not a lot but money back in the pocket is appreciated

Well, like i said, depending on feedback it would either be a go or no go. With yours i would probably make an exception. If your shipping from Canada to the US thats about right. In the U.S. when i receive from other in country sellers most of the packages of one jersey i received ranges from 6.00 to 9.00 dollars.
