isleofspoons
So when I wanted to order the Anaheim Ducks new away team jersey it was advertised by The Ducks that they would be selling these jerseys through the team store, I was very excited about the prospect. I called them up to order one and like any jersey collector I wanted to know what the number of the jersey would be that I was spending over $350 to get. The sales lady of course didn't know the answer to that and I explained that there could be several different types ie 7187 (doubtful the new jerseys would see 1.0's but you never know), 7231, or 7287 and I wanted the 7287 as it was the only one I would consider to be "authentic" as to my knowledge no team member has ever worn a 7231. After looking for someone who would know the answer (she told me no one did) she assured me that these were the same jerseys that they 'wore on the ice'. I was mistakenly trusting of this, thinking they couldn't say the same exact jerseys as they wear on the ice without that being the truth. This is a photo of what they sent me: obviously it takes an observer two seconds to realize this is the 7231a and not a 7287. I immediately called the team store to ask how to return this, and I am waiting on them to call me back, because they're looking into my order. I'm going to hope they do the right thing and I will be happy to inform you guys what happens, but in the meantime it seems pertinent to share what franchises deem acceptable in regards to selling a misleading product. dsl135
Its not "what they deem acceptable"... You're honestly just talking about store employees who simply don't know the difference. They're told by Reebok that these are "authentic" and so they sell them as such. Should they have more knowledgeable staff? Absolutely. But I highly doubt this is a situation where they intentionally deceived you. You should be able to return it for a full refund.
Devilsguy
I am not surprised you got an Indo-Edge, but I wouldn't go nuts on the staff. As previously stated they really just do not know and probably do not care. These people are earning a wage to make sure the stock is out, being sold and to operate a register. They are being told these are authentics so that's what they go by. Should they be better educated? Probably, but that is on management and 99% of the customers they deal with are not jersey collectors like we are here and are the type of people who order "wholesale" jerseys anyways. TMLFAN
So the ducks store is charging $350+ for an indo-edge? If so that is laughable considering you can buy the 2.0 from this site for $300.

isleofspoons
My fault if I made it seem like I blame the staff members at The Ducks Team Store, I don't, in fact they handled the situation amazingly I was able to return my item and refunded the entire amount, they even paid for the return shipment, the entire staff was absolutely professional about the ordeal. The part that frustrates me isn't their lack of knowledge about jerseys, I am fully aware of how dull I come across to the average human being about my hobby, they're just doing there jobs and I completely respect it, sales is a tough gig. I'm irritated that these well intentioned sales people were told they're selling something that is on-ice authentic so that's the information they pass on to the customer, when in reality it isn't the full truth. I'm more frustrated with the management or people at Reebok, basically whoever's decision it is to sell Indo-Edge jerseys and claim them as "authentic", it's dishonest. After speaking with someone from The Team Store over the phone the warehouse that supplies them can't even order the 7287A's so they won't be selling them. So if you want to buy authentic Ducks jersey's you'll have to look somewhere else, which seems unfortunate, because I knew it was cheaper here to buy the jersey, and I have purchased an edge jersey from Ice Jersey's but it is nice to be able to make a contribution to the official store of your favorite team even if it is more expensive.TML they actually are $366 after tax+shipping, the tag said $325. isleofspoons
Guam I tried to PM you but it told me you couldn't receive more messages, I thought this was actually pretty funny and was wondering how to add it to my tag line? Calciomania
JB for sure will sell this 2.0 soon for great prices compared to what the Team Stores want for Indo Edges.
