Iced on the Island
one more before calling it a day... 80's Ilses, TB Klima and the other half of the Brind'amour retirement(his name isn't a patch, its actually all stitched..just unreal), will post '11 allstars tomorrow
Brilliant!
It's a CCM Play Hard(I think) tag. It's one of the tags that's in English and in French. I've seen it before but not too often. The Brind'Amour ones are killer. Especially the Tlusty with all the details on it. Good stuff.
Iced on the Island
What's that tag on the inside of the Sabres "Goathead" jersey? Something I've never seen before. its a CCM tag says "Play or get off the ice"...exactly!
Iced on the Island
Yeah the Tlusty is great...there are some nice marks on one elbow, but when they auctioned this set I had no idea a that the #'s would be all stitched, figured it would just be patches...that's some great work... xcdude
Hey Quagmire, how did you score a Wild game worn alternate jersey????? http://www.gameworn.net/cgi-bin/GW/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=022352
Thelonious Sphere Monk
I was looking more at the gap between the 6, where the first opening/loop to the middle. The back number is more "open" in that theres more room under the beginning of the 6 and the end of the 6 assume you "write" the 6 in 1 motion, whereas compared to the sleeve numbers, that same area is non-existent. Am I describing it ok or am I just making things more... blurry? Also if you look at the sleeve 6 as a whole, it looks more squarish with the entire width barely shorter than the height whereas the back numbers is more elongated/rectangular. I should go look for a gamer to compare with ninja edit: Just looked at the link you posted, it actually should look like that. coolbeans I follow you! you described it well but god ###### I'm still trippin over the Glacier/Non-Glacier twill issue. Seeing as how I will undress the entire jersey anyways. Happy times!
CJ Matthews
This also illustrates another reason that the nhluniforms.com website is kinda useless since it doesn't show that detail.

Burnaby Joe Sakic
These jerseys are the ONLY two reasons why I'm happy that Peter Forsberg retired when he did. The Set II jersey that he would have worn on February 14 against the Flames at Pepsi Center. The Set II alternate that he would have worn on February 16 against the Pens at Pepsi Center. Iced on the Island
I never knew that either. They've been patches in the past, haven't they? I always thought they were. I've never seen an embroidered version like this before either...the Francis style was a patch, lotta work to prep all those... To CJ: I just use suit bags from the local dollarstore...they zip up, hang free and any loose patches I acquire for them can be put into the bottom of the bag for time being.... NYIJM29
Nice Avs! I was wondering about Forsberg and the alternate. He would have been the only Avs player to wear every jersey the Avs wore.
