xsportsdudex
I know some of you frown upon people bringing up other sites on here but seeing that River City Sports had Blackhawks 2.0s for $200 I just had to buy one. When I first placed the order I got an email a couple days later saying that my order was declined because I used a debit card. No big deal, call them back and they say they will still honor the sale price if I can give them a new, valid credit card which also happened to get declined. Have any of you had issues ordering from them before? Specifically people from the US since I think this might be an issue because of the international order. dsl135
Call your credit card company and tell them you are actually trying to make the purchase. They are probably blocking it because its from outside the USA (assuming you rarely travel they would do that as a safety precaution). Brilliant!
Yup, it's the card company fearful of a foreign transaction. The same thing happened to me a few months back when I ordered from Frozen Pond. I had to call my card company and physically tell them to authorize the transaction when processed. It's definitely a good thing that they watch it like that but it's still frustrating.
hatryk
I was in Niagara Falls (canada) and they declined my card too. You're supposed to call ahead if you are using it in a foreign country. Even though I could throw a rock and hit usa.
xsportsdudex
Thanks for all of the replies guys! Looks like it's time to call the credit card company so I can get myself this jersey
CJ Matthews
I had the same problem, got it cleared up, and am good to go.
cry_minarets458
I didn't have any problems like those you speak of, OP. I just had a nice $7.99 US charge for processing a foreign transaction. Boo.
grbs1605
I also had a foreign transaction fee of a little over $18. I suppose the free shipping balances it out.
DC Red Wings
That is weird, mine was only six dollars.
LAK74
It's a percentage of the purchase value.
Hollywood Cannon
Hmm. I didn't get hit with anything from what I can tell. Bought one jersey.
Girouxsalem
Hmm. I didn't get hit with anything from what I can tell. Bought one jersey. Me neither
DC Red Wings
They probably took pity on a couple Flyers fans.
lhg39
It all depends on your credit card. I have one with no foreign transaction fees.
cry_minarets458
I bought 2 jerseys, so that seems about right.
Big A HG
Bought a Hawks jersey myself and I live in the States. But, being only a few hours from Winnipeg, I don't think it red-flagged it.
