Brilliant!
I hate seeing player's careers end due to unnecessary injuries. That's really too bad if he can't come back. I was a fan of his while in Manhattan. He gave it his all every night but the Rangers brass really ran him into the ground...shocking. ConcreteCharlie
That's really a shame, Manny is a consummate professional and a really nice guy. It was really a shame to see him during the 2011 Playoffs walking around in shades and not being his usual, personable self. Then, it was really special to see him make it back for the Final and to hear the crowd welcome him back. He was an excellent defensive forward, I thought that season he could have gotten a Selke nomination, which is really saying something since the award has morphed into "best defensive forward who also scores a lot of points." Helluva skater and a great faceoff guy, too. Two years on and we still don't have mandatory visors. Look how far behind the NHL has been on concussion stuff, can we cut the macho crap out of this sport? I will admit to being a wimp, the way these guys fire the puck I'd probably wear the college facemask lol.
