When the player who wore it recognizes it and puts it on for a picture kinda tells me all I need to know. Hobey Baker Award winner, Assistant Coach on my favorite team, and jealous I own his rookie year set 1 jersey. Better than a photo match in my book. It was Canadian Heritage Night at the Monarchs game and they auctioned off the jerseys after the game. He had seen my wife wearing the jersey before the game and was kind enough to meet us after the auction for pictures and a better look at the jersey. The side wall was off the bench for the auction so when he came out of the locker room we stepped into the bench area to talk to him. He's a real nice guy and spent a few minutes chatting and posing for pictures with my wife. Only in the world of minor league hockey would that happen.
