JeffB
No, nothing wrong with the Rangers or Leetch. I just don't like the fact that it's a fake. OK, what's fake about it?
Brilliant!
There's a post-2000 CCM tag in the collar there for a 1992 jersey. That definitely wouldn't have been there back then. Speaking of the 75th patches, I added one today to my newest acquisition via trade: I don't know why it looks so crooked but I can assure you it's not. Also, I customized my Rangers Pro Player jersey today: I love it...even though I put the S up a little high but it still came out great.
Brass97
My late 1990's Phoenix Coyotes black road jersey just came in the mail today. Hoping to slap some Claude Lemieux on that sucker. I'll try to get a picture of it soon.

Dr. D
Speaking of the 75th patches, I added one today to my newest acquisition via trade: Say! That jersey looks somewhat familiar! Patch looks great, and so does the ProPlayer. Love the Graves on it.

JeffB
Here's my international jerseys since the start of the year. Austrian National Team. Dates from around 2002. Game worn. 1978 Team Canada Wayne Gretzky World Juniors jersey. 1998 Team Canada Nagano Winter Olympics Patrick Roy jersey. 1991 Finland National Team Tackla jersey. I bought a collection of 1989 Tackla jerseys that lacked Finland, so this is to try to fill a gap in that set as best I could. I'd love to get a blank one some day so I can customize it the way I want to fit the set. 1998 Iceland National Team jersey with IIHF 100th Anniversary Patch. Dynamo were Russian Champions that year. 2005-06 Moscow Dynamo Andrei Skopintsev game worn jersey.
JustAnothaVictim
OK, what's fake about it? The jersey itself. CCM doesn't have this jersey in their vintage line. Have you compared it with your 93-94 Messier Rangers jersey? The Leetch is a Griffenfood-Special.
Brilliant!
Hey Jeff, are you gonna put the 9/11 ribbon on the Rangers 'New York' jersey? That sure would be the icing on the cake. Also, where did you find those lettering for that jersey? I've been wanting to do that one for a while now but I don't know where to start looking for them. JeffB
Hey Jeff, are you gonna put the 9/11 ribbon on the Rangers 'New York' jersey? That sure would be the icing on the cake. Also, where did you find those lettering for that jersey? I've been wanting to do that one for a while now but I don't know where to start looking for them. That jersey is having the patch sewn on as we speak. The "New York" lettering for both the Sabres and Rangers was done by Vintage Minnesota Hockey. This is a personal acquaintance of mine who is a Gopher Hockey fanatic. He got tired of dealing with people, especially that doofus Eric from the Pro-Twill/Unused Nordiques jersey debacle that he just decided to do his own work from now on. The Sabres font was the same as the names on the back, so that wasn't as big a challenge as the Rangers. I sent him a number of photos of old 80's jerseys when they used that on the front and he traced them in Corel. I then critiqued his work and sent a few more photos that surfaced while he was working. He then made the revisions and made a new set of letters. They aren't 100%, but you can see for yourself if you like them enough to get them from him, because once he created the file, he can duplicate it easily now. Brilliant!
Well actually I was thinking about getting someone to copy the 'New York' on my Rangers 80's authentic of the same variety. This way it'd be as close to accurate as you could get. That's pretty far down the road though since I can't seem to find that appropriate KOHO authentic blue jersey ANYWHERE. I've been looking for that one for about two years now and the search has yielded nothing. It's pretty funny too since I found the 9/11 ribbon on eBay a while back but have been yet to find that friggin jersey. Speaking of just arrived, I got another one of those bad boys you just don't see anymore today(AFTER 23 DAYS OF SHIPPING): It's a tad big at size 54 but PFFFFFT I DON'T CARE. As soon as I can get my sewing machine back up and running, this mother is getting an NHL 75th patch put on.

As soon as I can get my sewing machine back up and running, this mother is getting an NHL 75th patch put on. I love the authentic Capitals jerseys where each letter is sewn on separately instead of it being a single patch on the replicas. It's perhaps the largest gap between an replica and authentic out there. As for the Rangers, I've got photos of the 80's and 2001 "New York" styles and there are some differences, mainly center point of the "W" comes up between the upper serifs on the new one and the old one as lower. Also, the serifs on the newer "Y" only go outwards, while the old ones are centered on the lines they are on top of. Also, the cresting of the new one is quite small compared to the old ones. Small enough that when compared to the old ones it doesn't look "right", even though that's what they used in 2001 for that game. Shoot me a PM to make sure I have your email and I can send you my photo files.
ZoomZoom18
On the way I have a CCM 550 Maple Leafs home (blue jersey) from RiverCitySports.com. They hammered me hard with the shipping at $12 and the jersey was on sale for $59.99. This will finish off my collection of Original 6 teams jerseys as well as the jerseys of the two teams I saw play in my first live NHL game, Buffalo vs. Toronto in 2000. ZoomZoom18
Dude, I just got my TML home jersey, 05-06 Reebok Authentic. My next Lindros jersey I almost got the 80s era jersey out here during the lockout when one of the local sports stores was selling all their hockey jerseys cheap. I never did though and missed my chance. As lame as this sounds, the movie Love Guru got me interested in getting the jersey again. When I went to the Sabres-Leafs game in Buffalo, they had the white jersey personalized with Jeff Farkas and I always kind of kicked myself for not getting that one, but not knowing how the fans in Buffalo would respond if I got a Sabres AND a Maple Leafs jersey, I passed on it. It was a nice looking jersey up close. I also wasn't too sure who on earth Jeff Farkas was at the time. If I ever personalize it, I'd probably go for Tucker myself.
