lafountain
OK, this seems kind of strange. Fighting is not allowed in the Russian leagues to my knowledge so why would Simon sign with a Russian team? http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=3402845

ZoomZoom18
I hope he gets himself straightened out. The league didn't need the negative press he's been generating the last couple of seasons.
SabreFaninNYC
Mirtle has a long post up today about how the Russian Super League is transforming into the KHL in order to compete across the continent of Europe. Signing players like Simon, however stupid for the team, does start to raise the profile for this venture. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next 5 years. http://mirtle.blogspot.com/2008/05/contine...-new-super.html
