Mach_9
Surprised Vancouver didn't put in a better offer for him an put him with the Sedins again.
LeafyMcLeaf
I'm shocked that's all they got. Sets the market low.
Brilliant!
Well this certainly helps Carolina out. Carter's a good third or fourth liner who can hold his own and pump in some goals when needed.
LeafyMcLeaf
He's a second liner. All he ever needed was a center.
iggygoalie
He's a second liner. All he ever needed was a center. You have no idea what your talking about. Carter has been skating on the 4th line with the Jackets for the past 3 weeks and hasnt contributed squat all year. I was hoping for a 3rd or 4th rounder in return, but it is what it is. He was simply dead weight on a team and was not fitting in under Hitchcock's system. Now, the Jackets have a roster space to help develop a younger guy - maybee a Platt or Picard - in the season's final 1.5 months. I am not saying you know nothing about hockey. I am just saying that I watch 99% of all jackets games and know whats going on. I thought it was a mistake day 1 when Doug Maclean signed him - I mean, who wouldn't look good playing with the Sedins every night? When Zherdev signed, and the season got rolling, Carter just didnt fit into the top 6.
