Now I am 100% sure that team USA wore this for the 1996 World Cup of Hockey...But J.R. was NOT on this team...so that takes care of that... He played in 5 different international tournaments and I can't see him wearing this jersey... So.......before I strip it and make it a Chelios or Suter '96 World Cup jersey can anyone confirm he wore this jersey or didn't wear it... Thanks guys...totally appreciate your help... Roenick did not play on the team. He was between contracts and refused to play without an NHL contract, which prompted Chelios to call Roenick's agent an idiot and say that Roenick was obviously getting some bad advice. Brilliant! Posted November 3, 2015 Report Share Posted November 3, 2015 You didn't buy that, did you? It's most likely a factory-customized Nike replica pro jersey. It has the numerical size tag but there's no fight strap. Those numbers will have been essentially spot-welded on and will leave a TON of residue. You'll never get it clean.
