BanthaBeard
Just picked up this future strip job and I'm hoping some of our resident Wings experts can help me pinpoint the year. From looking at the gameworns online it looks to me like this version of the CENTER ICE/MISE AU JEU tag during the 1997/98 regular season. After this there seems to mix of these and the double center ice tag during that year's finals and the following regular season. I can't see anything from the 1996/97 season. Here's my jersey: I've found this Shanny jersey with the above tag from the 97/98 RS: http://www.gamewornauctions.net/products/1997_98_Brendan_Shanahan_Detroit_Red_Wings_Game_Worn_Jersey_Believe_Stanley_Cup_Season_Team_Letter-6748-154.html Then this Stevie Y from the finals with the double tag: http://www.gamewornauctions.net/products/Steve_Yzerman_Red_Wings_Authentic_Jersey_1998_Stanley_Cup_Finals_Believe_VK_SM-3103-91.html Am I to assume that this change occurred during the 1998 playoffs and that my version was worn during the 1997 finals? QueenAnnesRevenge
The Wings used that Center Ice tag from the Nike inception in the 96-97 season through to the finals in 97-98. Then the double circle tag was used in just 98-99 until they switched back to CCM for 99-00. That Yzerman you linked is not a gamer, just a regular authentic. Hence your confusion. BanthaBeard
Ah, so it is. So this would be good for either the 97 and 98 finals patch, or just 1997?
QueenAnnesRevenge
'97 and '98 finals. Anything up to the start of the '98-99 season.
