Mach_9
Philly traded Zhitnik to Atlanta for Braydon Coburn today. Excellent trade for Philadelphia. Excellent. Coburn is a great young defenseman who's going to develop into a solid second pairing guy who can play lots of minutes, short handed and on the powerplay. Already having Pitkanen and Picard, they added Parent in the Forsberg trade and now Coburn today - they're going to have a good young top 4 next year. Meanwhile, Atlanta picks up a good, experienced d-man for the playoffs. Good deal.
ZoomZoom18
Philly is doing a good job of rebuilding so far. That is a good deal, I've heard a lot of good things about the future of Coburn.
LordStanley1893
Terrible trade for ATL. What were Hartley & Waddell thinking? This trade is basically Meyer for Coburn that's bad. I'm not sure how ATL can give up a former 8th overall pick from '03 for an aging vet. It seems like they gave up on him way too soon. From Philadelphia's perspective nice steal they save cap and get player who will be better than Zhitnik.
