evilgawd
Hi , Im about to get myself a Gretzky signed jersey ( white oilers) and the signature was done with a white sharpie ( i guess ) . My question is, does it fade away ? Is it as good as the traditional black sharpie ?? Thank
Brilliant!
I don't know about that actually. I have several colored Sharpies here on my desk and the only one that says PERMANENT is the black one. I don't have a white one though. I would assume if it says it on there, then it is. peca_fan
the white does fade a bit. I would only trust the black sharpie's to be permanent, I have had white and blue fade a bit for me before.
evilgawd
I plan on framing it , not exposed to direct sunlight . Its a Wayne Gretzky Authentic, so i would presume its not some crappy white/silver sharpie ?? Would it go from : http://i3.ebayimg.com/03/i/001/0c/90/81e0_1.JPG To something like : http://i11.ebayimg.com/06/i/001/20/b6/dffb_12.JPG
peca_fan
very doubtful, the second one just looks like a crappy pen. i highly doubt it would fade much if it was in a frame, i was assuming you were going to wash it or something.. haha. Brilliant!
Yeah, I'd agree with that point too. If you're not gonna be wearing it or doing anything that COULD fade it, I think it'll stay just fine.
evilgawd
Great! Thanks for taking 2 mins to re-assure me ;D
johnnygriswold
Black would seem to be the best, but if it's framed, the white sharpee should last a bit longer than if it was exposed to sunlight or any other fading demons!
