The story goes that the league either ran out or couldn’t get the white outline patches to the team in time, so the Jets had a local company (All Canadien Emblem) make these patches for them. They are darker and have no white outline. The originals are extremely hard to find, but I got this one from a guy that claims to have gotten a bunch remade by that same company. It looks pretty good to me. I’ll put it on the Jets ultrafil I picked up a few weeks ago. Just need to trim the orange outline a bit and remove it from around the cup. perthisthereason Posted February 19, 2020 Report Share Posted February 19, 2020 So, I had been looking for one of these Rawlings jerseys for a while, until I finally found a Gilmour a couple of weeks ago. Of course, shortly after this one became available. This one was worn by Schofield during the 84-85 playoffs where the Blues got swept by the North Stars. Is there any evidence of this being stripped? The 1 seems oddly off-center and that's usually a sign that a wider number was once there. The placement of numbers also looks similar to the one on his regular season gamer that sold on GWA. So maybe it's just the way they did it that year. Fortunately, unlike all of the other pre-customized jerseys I’ve bought, the Islanders isn’t a factory job so the nameplate is air-knit, the letters aren’t stitched through the nameplate to the jersey and only the outer layer of the numbers is stitched to the jersey.
