mdwsta4
As a kid my gear reeked so I'm well familiar with the 'hockey smell'. Of course, I don't recall ever airing it out after playing so it'd just sit in my bag for a day or two until I used it again. I'm also pretty sure I would replace stuff every year because it would either wear out or I'd grow out of it. As an adult, I am seemingly anal about airing my gear out after every game, spraying it down, washing it 2-3x per year, washing base layers/socks/jerseys after every game. My gear smells like a f-in lavender field (thanks detergent). It blows me away anytime I'm playing next to somebody whose gear reeks so bad it's hard to breathe. How do you not wash your stuff or air it out!? Even you gotta be smelling this, right?!
