lafountain
http://www.nashvillepredators.com/pressbox...p?story_id=1378 So that takes another goalie off of teams shopping lists. Good deal for Florida, they get a solid netminder to help them try to become a solid team.
Brilliant!
This really isn't THAT big of a surprise. It's been known for the last year or so that the Predators play a lot better when Mason starts. There's been rumblings about him becoming the starter for months now. Even still, it's sad to see the team get broken apart like this. What happens if the fans hit the 14K mark and the team goes in the tank? That'd be a bitter-sweet deal. DesertRat
Yeah, well Balsillie appears OUT as a prospective owner... Bob McKenzie 6/22/2007 7:07:55 PM Nashville owner Craig Leipold has advised the NHL to no longer consider Jim Balsillie as a prospective owner of the team. Sources say Leipold told the league the absence of a finalized sale agreement and Balsillie desire to move the franchise to Hamilton are the reasons for his decision. Looks like Balsillie got a little too ahead of himself there... I have to admit, I feel for the Preds fans right now. They have a great team this past season that doesn't get out of the first round, only to begin a fire-sale... OUCH! I was hoping Phoenix would see Vokoun. DesertRat
I don't know where anyone else is headed, but by September, that team will look like that carcass on their logo.
