thecapn
It's funny, I use that "What's in the box?" line all the time and people just think I'm referencing Se7en. Glad to see there's some fellow freaks out there.
classichockeyjerseys
I bought this yesterday(clicked buy it now and commit to buy) but then the seller messages me saying that someone bought this before me.Any ideas on how to handle this? Jersey4thewin was the other buyer. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NY-Rangers-road-white-authentic-weight-Hockey-Jersey-54-/111740917367?hash=item1a04471677

The seller can't "sell it to someone else" before you. If he didn't remove the listing, it was available to buy and you bought it and eBay considers that to be a contract. He can't now say that someone else bought it earlier (even if he tries to claim he had it listed somewhere else as well, eBay's policies state you can't do that). Report it for sure, don't agree to cancel the transaction.
OR68
Report him if he sold it from under you..then send shill bidding jerseys a message to go get a real job... Edited August 12, 2015 by OR68
dsl135
What likely happened is that Jerseys4thewin messaged him after you bought it and offered him a bit more to sell it to him. The seller thinks he can still accept those offers, but he can't. Just tell him you're not willing to cancel the transaction and that you want him to honor the transaction. If he refuses, report him to eBay.
classichockeyjerseys
What's strange though is it says that the auction winner was Jersey4thewin.I wonder if he relisted it after I bought it.I'm going to contact Ebay.Ebay is frustrating sometimes. SnakeOiler12
Did you successfully complete the "Buy It Now/Commit to Buy" process, as in, did you send payment through PayPal? If you did, then you absolutely have a case to protest. If you did not complete the process with actual payment sent, then it's possible JFTW got through the checkout process faster than you and did actually get it. Some Buy It Now auctions do say that the item is still available until you complete the process by sending payment. Either way, good luck. classichockeyjerseys
Yes.I completed Buy it Now process and right before I went to pay I got a message from seller that someone else got the jersey(I'm thinking he relisted it after I clicked BIN or J4TW messaged him and offered him more)
dsl135
It only shows up once in his completed listings. So you're saying it shows up in your "Purchase History" but on the actual auction it says "Jerseys4thewin" as the winner? You shouldn't be able to see the winner, those are usually marked private. When I looked at it, it shows the winner as "o***r ( private )"
classichockeyjerseys
It showed up in my "won" auctions and then seller said someone else bought it.I reported it to Ebay.
LAK74
I completed Buy it Now process and right before I went to pay I got a message from seller that someone else got the jersey. If you got that message before you actually sent the payment, then you may be SOL if JFTW sent in payment before you did. You both may have been trying to buy it at the same time, but I believe the first buyer to complete the payment transaction ends up with the item. Hopefully that's not the case here, because that would have been a steal for you.
TMLFAN
Don't worry you can buy it from jftw for 10x the price in a few weeks.
mfitz804
If J4TW is listed as the winner, then he must have did Buy It Now before you did, otherwise it would say you were the winner. Did you get a confirmation email that you won? I'm thinking no and he was just a few seconds ahead of you.

Hockey Bob
Anybody else enjoying watching this guy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/161787732906?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT He listed it, yanked the listing and re-listed with all of his other jerseys for $2000 then yanked that listing and re-listed this one at $399 then changed it to $299 then $200 then up to $299... I can't keep up with how many times he's changed the price but it's comical. I think he switches it according to how many people view his current listing Check it out and lest see where he goes with it. Isn't the blue stripe supposed to be on the bottom? The jersey shown on eBay has the red on the bottom. Some had errors when it was produced. Yes the correct collar is reversed from that jersey.
akteon
What the deuce? http://www.ebay.com/itm/331628363156 Our old pal jerseys4thewin has some sort of Fakenstein jersey where someone took an apparently legit Starter authentic Rangers Liberty and sewn on the tags off a fake Starter Gretzky blue jersey to make it look team-issued. They also had a second Starter logo and NHL shield sewn on the left-hem. I'd have no problem if someone did this themselves for their personal collection since the jersey is mostly authentic not fake, but trying to pass it off as team issue is shady (not surprising considering the seller). The funniest part of all is that the Rangers didn't even wear the navy Liberty jersey in 1998-99.
