I can't select the option to buy a jersey blank anymore. It won't let me. I have to put in a jersey number. Why?

Could just be a way to make more $$. I really hope they don't go the way of the NFL and only allow jerseys to be sold customized, no blanks.

With the NFL, even if you do get your hands on a blank jersey, most licensed customizers won't touch it (like EPS see below) for fear of losing their contract with the league.

At this time due to licensing agreements with the NFL and the NFLPA, we are only able to fulfill NFL orders from licensed retailers. We are not able to manipulate jerseys in any way or sell materials, letter kits, and anything else protected by the NFL.

I found a ton of blank team issued Dolphins jerseys at Salvation Armys after they made the switch to Nike. Those things sold like the eternal hotcake @ $100-125 a pop. I still dont understand how lineman get those things on. I always wondered what people did with them with all those restrictions to customizing. Thankfully you can buy hockey jerseys other places.

Yeh if this "trend" is just limited to shop.NHL.com then it's just another reason to avoid them. But if it's a league wide decision to make extra $$ like the NFL, then it'd really suck.

However if you look at a blank NFL jersey, there's not much to it but the numbers. With NHL jerseys (and hockey jerseys in general) the blank jerseys look great without a name & number and it'd be silly to not sell them blank. Even if the big shops had to stop customizing blank NHL authentics (like EPS had to with NFL jerseys not sent to them by retailers) guys like Truman and Keener would help out the hockey jersey fans with kits and customization.

EPS can do jerseys for certain teams it looks like now, but only Nike jerseys.

Something is weird, the few teams they do have with the form to customize your jersey list the price as $0.00, even after you enter the custom info.

The description says customized edge

Description also says "No player name or number".

I can also add it to my cart and pay for it without ever adding customization information. Compare it to other jerseys which require you to select customization, like the new Wild road jerseys.

Actually it says "Custom" not "Customized".

Whatever "Custom" is supposed to mean.
