FlyersHockey1967
Does this look like it has an outline? I emailed exclusive pro and they have the kit for the orange jersey! It's $55 to get it customized, assuming I actually have it.
iggygoalie
To avoid getting outbid in the final seconds of an auction, use www.esnipe.com Thats how I do all of my bidding!
Brilliant!
That one doesn't look like it has an outline. It's also the 80's style striping too with the white going over top the shoulders and arms. That's what you were going for right?

It's also the 80's style striping too with the white going over top the shoulders and arms. That's what you were going for right? Yeah, it's basically the current home black jersey but with orange as the main color. The old 70's style would have the curved wing logo with the white stripe at the bottom. I'm thinking you posted that because of the way the jersey was positioned during the photo? iggygoalie, thanks for the link. I just wish I had it when the auction I was looking for ended. I think the person who won probably used this. Do you have to pay to sign up for it or what? How would you go about paying them if you win an auction? Oh, and why isn't Firefox listed in the file browser list?

I'm thinking you posted that because of the way the jersey was positioned during the photo? Well no, I just know that the 90's version of that orange jersey had the white with the black outline draped over the shoulders but if you go back to the original version up until the early 80's there was no black outline. It was just a white overlay on the orange jersey.

Brilliant!
http://www.nhluniforms.com/1970s/Flyers2.html That's the version they wore during the 1975 season. They changed in it to this: http://www.nhluniforms.com/1980s/Flyers3.html after 1982. See the black outline on the 80's one isn't there on the 70's one? That's what I was referring to. The one that you posted the picture of is the 80's/90's version.

The one that you posted the picture of is the 80's/90's version. That's what I was talking about as well! I mentioned the 70's uni in my post before, and I was referring to the 70's orange jersey with the white stripe at the bottom. If I wanted that one, I would've bought one from IceJerseys. You know, I didn't realize the early 80's jersey had that diagonal stripe on the back. I don't think that one in the picture has that striping on the back. I think it's just the same one as the 90's. I think I found another jersey that looks really big. I'm pretty sure it's an XL. The problem is the black outline. I also think that the auction I lost was the only one I've seen with a fight strap, which would be really great.
FlyersHockey1967
This doesn't look like it has an outline, but the look of the material is weird, and the placement of the CCM tag makes me suspicious. The lack of any fight strap pics also worries me. http://cgi.ebay.com/PHILADELPHIA-FLYERS-nh...1QQcmdZViewItem Something looks weird with one of the wings on the crest, but other than that I can't say anything because it doesn't show the back or a fight strap. http://cgi.ebay.com/Philadelphia-Flyers-Ce...1QQcmdZViewItem
Brilliant!
That first one is an older CCM replica that had the CCM logos screen printed on. The second one looks a lot better. The crest looks okay to me. I think they tweaked the design not too long ago to make the wings seem a little more curved. The one in your signature has the more elongated curves but I've seen older versions where they're more of a straighter edge. And it actually it does look like there's a fight strap in there. I can see the white outline of it through the jersey. HOWEVER, if that's a size 44, it's not an XL. A 44 is between a medium and a large. I'm not sure if you know, but if you do, I apologize if I insult you with this post. The curved wing logo in my sig is the stock photo, which is used on stuff like posters, ads, billboards, etc. It was actually the logo used on the original jerseys with the stripe at the bottom (as worn by Parent, Clarke, and Barber in my sig). However, since the introduction of the 80's jerseys, the logo was changed to a more sharper, slanted winged logo. The 80's orange jerseys that use the "elongated curved" wing logo (like pro player) are therefore technically incorrect. The straighter edge is the accurate logo. This is the stock logo: And this is the jersey logo: So, just to repeat myself, the logo on the bottom is the correct one and should be the one on the jerseys. Brilliant!
I actually didn't know that. It makes sense though since that's the logo used on all the jerseys I've ever seen. That could win me a bar bet someday. Thanks!
FlyersHockey1967
http://cgi.ebay.com/Philadelphia-Flyers-Ho...1QQcmdZViewItem Can't see a tag or a fight strap, and once again, no shot of the back. http://cgi.ebay.com/NHL-Hockey-Jersey-Phil...1QQcmdZViewItem Not orange, but has the CCM tag. However, it has the black outline and it says it has a Flyers logo on the hemline.
Brilliant!
How about this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTHENTIC-PHILADELPHIA...1QQcmdZViewItem It's a Nike authentic but it's a size 54 which is roughly an XL. I'd still go for it at 85 bucks. You might not find another one like that around. A Nike jersey is nice too. You can still get Hextall on the back if you want because he was there when they wore the Nikes.
Brilliant!
Also, it's not a blank jersey but here's a nice authentic CCM Hextall jersey size 48. http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-Ron-Hextall-...1QQcmdZViewItem

It looks like the orange puck is off center (might just be the way it was when the pic was taken), and the wings are the wrong type. Plus, it might say about 80 dollars, but don't forget the 85 on shipping. Now, that Hextall orange looks great, but the only problem is that it's already over 100 bucks! FlyersHockey1967
HOLY CRAP. Black jersey signed by Hextall? http://cgi.ebay.com/Ron-Hextall-signed-Phi...1QQcmdZViewItem I can't remember if the black jerseys had orange trim around the letters or not when they first came out. The pictures show that they aren't there, and it's weird how it still has the tags on it. However, it has the CCM at the bottom. I am still considering that orange Hextall you found, Brilliant! Provided the stains can come out and I can pay, of course.
FlyersHockey1967
What a stupid mistake I made. With 1 minute and 17 seconds to go, for some stupid reason I decided to read this freaking article on Barry Bonds and the steroid scandal on the Philadelphia Inquirer's website, and I'm not even a baseball fan! Then I remembered to check back, refresh the page, make my bid, and it was already over. I feel like an idiot. There were only two bids for the entire auction, and all of them came a day early. I could've won this time, and it already had the name and number and stuff. I just screwed up. Gives me one more reason to hate Barry Bonds, eh? To make matters even worse, I had won an auction for a Star Fox 64 cartridge with the box, manual, game, rumble pack, the whole works, and it got delivered today. The problem was it was only the box. There was even a picture with everything and I just got the box. I think I'm done with eBay guys. But thanks for helping me find the jerseys. Maybe I'll get lucky one day and actually find one, but it looks like I'm going home with nothing.

It's a hassle, but do go through ebay's complaint avenues and do it asap. I have only had one bad purchase in nine years of using ebay and it was rectified in about 30 days. Just don't pay anymore attention to Bonds!
Brilliant!
Just don't pay anymore attention to Bonds! HA! That's good advice right there! Stick with hockey. I've gotten beaten on countless bids...it happens and yes it's frustrating but you can't let it get to you. Just hang in there.
FlyersHockey1967
HOLY ****, what luck! http://cgi.ebay.com/Nike-Authentic-Center-...1QQcmdZViewItem An AUTHENTIC NIKE RON HEXTALL ORANGE JERSEY. It ends in 4 days, already at $80 with 2 bids, but wow, this is a BIG break. What do you think fellows? Looks good to you? I don't even see a black outline at all. That is really lucky. The only problem is that it's a size 52 (XL according to the IJ sizing chart), but I could live with that. Oh, and about that Star Fox 64 dilemma, the seller had forgotten to send the box with all of the stuff I won, so he sent it separately. The box actually arrived first, and yesterday the game, rumble pak, instruction manual, as well as two game guides came in the mail. Gentlemen, I am officially back in the hunt.
