classichockeyjerseys
Just wondering if they made fakes in 6100's?

00xtremeninja
I don't think I have ever come across a 6100 fake before, only the Edge styles. Not to say it isn't out there in some capacity, but I personally haven't seen them
akteon
There were fakes of the 6100 just like there were fakes of the 90's era Nike and Starter jerseys. They were normally just jerseys of star players and no where near as prevalent as today's fakes. When the Edge was released a new wave of fakes came out, the counterfeiters kicked it up a notch and now it's not strange to fake jerseys of 3rd tier players. Sluggermatt15
I know the pens reebok one were faked to a degree. Not sure about other teams Correct. 6100s customized with Crosby and Lemieux (with "C") are common Pens fakes in this style. They sometimes show up on ebay. HockeyMusic
here is an example of a fake... http://www.ebay.com/itm/290884099357 What indicates this is a fake 1. How the reebok neck tag is sewn.....it is sewn down the sides. 2 .The paper along the seam of the shoulder. That is not there on authentics. You commonly see that paper used behind the numbers on fakes. Also the fight strap on fakes is commonly a dead giveaway, but it is too hard to tell (at least for me) on the jersey in the listing I mentioned The neck tag should be sewn all the way across the top, and on the bottom left and right corners only - as shown below
