Brilliant!
I might as well get things rolling here: Are you in to the local music scene in your area? Not at all. I'm not a fan of new music. Any CDs that you are looking forward to being released this year? Now that Mastodon and Lamb of God both released theirs, there's not much to look forward to. Best albums ever? Slayer - Reign in Blood, Metallica - Master of Puppets, Iron Maiden - Powerslave, Motorhead - Ace of Spades, Pantera - Cowboys from Hell, Led Zeppelin - IV, Death - Leprosy, UFO - Obsession, The Who - Quadrophenia and many MANY more. New discoveries, the band can be new or old. Michael Schenker's early stuff is absolutely incredible. Do you play an instrument? Electric guitar, acoustic guitar and bass guitar. Is there an instrument you wish you could play? Bagpipes. What are your favorite genre/ kinds of music? Thrash metal. Any type of music you can't stand? Country and that emo crap. Favorite song? Changes by the week. Right now it's Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden. Least Favorite song? I don't listen to crappy music enough to know anything. Mach_9
Are you in to the local music sene in your area? When I was a kid I was extremely involved in my local music scene. Played lots of shows with a bunch of local bands. Now I check out some of my students bands when they play in places I won't get in too much trouble for showing up at... Any CDs that you are looking forward to being released this year? Looking forward to Radiohead's new album. I heard it's got some reggae influence, which should sound... interesting? Best albums ever? Dark Side of the Moon, Are You Experienced, Blonde on Blonde, Morning View. New disoveries, the band can be new or old. Ataxia. Check them out - very cool. It's a secret, un-publicized, fairly recent ('06) side project from the Chili Peppers' guitar player (John Frusciante) and two other jam musicians. Do you play an instrument? Mainly guitar. I dabble in bass and keyboards. I was always the singer when I was in bands. Is there an instrument you wish you could play? I wish I could play piano expertly. I can play a very limited amount, but I'd love to be fluent and well trained. What are your favorite genre/ kinds of music? Most branches of rock. I like a lot of mellow, alternative stuff, but I can listen to metal, grunge, folk, classic, hip-hop (think Beck... not "rap"), etc. Any type of music you can't stand? Rap. I like some (five or so?) hip-hop acts, but rap is so lame. Country is tough to swallow too. Favorite song? "Who Knows" - Hendrix. Talking World War III Blues - Dylan. Least Favorite song? "Live Like You Were Dying" - Tim McGraw.

CryWolf
Are you in to the local music sene in your area? Not so much anymore, but we do have an awesome jazz festival in montreal every summer - and try to get out to see a show once in a while. I also have been to the Bell Center for some big concerts lately, since my son loves Classic Rock (a chip off the old block). Any CDs that you are looking forward to being released this year? Not a clue... is Led Zeppelin going to come out with anything? Best albums ever? Oh boy... this is tough...I will agree with Mach on Dark Side of the Moon, as well as: Supertramp - Crime of the Century, Led Zeppelin I, Elton John - Madman Across the Water, Pink Floyd - The Wall, Styx - Equinox, Frampton Comes Alive, The Who - Who's Next, Deep Purple - Machine Head.... I could go on and on... New disoveries, the band can be new or old. Not so new, but Coldplay... I was really hooked on Fix You Do you play an instrument? I played bass in my youth on a crappy made in china Gibson replica. Got married, sold the bass and amp. Now my son is a pretty good guitarist, so I bought myself a Peavey Millenium bass so I could accompany him and get back into it. Wow - if I had this bass when I was younger, I might have actually been a really good bass player! Is there an instrument you wish you could play? I can play piano somewhat - but wish I could play it really well. Also would like to be able to play Guitar. What are your favorite genre/ kinds of music? Classic rock by far, but enjoy many other types of music like R&B/blues, jazz, contemporary rock... Any type of music you can't stand? Rap, country, screamo Favorite song? Too hard to pick one, but some fav's are: "Rudy" - Supertramp, "Kasmir" - Led Zeppelin, "Funeral for a Friend" - Elton John, Least Favorite song? "Somewhere Down That Crazy River" - Robbie Robertson. That song annoys the hell out of me!
