Help on WHO TO PUT ON THIS!

I was edging more towards Nolan, I think I just needed that extra push/incentive to go ahead with it. He was a true ambassador for the sport plus I love that he was born in Belfast - will make the jersey more personal to myself. Any patch recommendations folks?

Go with the 97 all-star game patch, thats really the only patch you could put on the older version, Nolan wasnt there for the previous 2 patches they wore. (75th and 100th Cup)

I vote for Nolan over Falloon also. If I wanted to use the 75th NHL patch, Doug Wilson or Arturs Irbe would be awesome picks. I'm a huge fan of the 1994 team so I would go with either Makarov or Larionov.

I agree with you

Irbe was the best choice for me.

I have the old Sharks Home jersey that was an alternate for some time to. I'm not a sharks fan but I really want to put someone on the back of this....any good players to play on them and the yotes during that time period?

What I would do If I had these

2001 World - Forsberg with the "C"

2011 Lidstrom - St Louis

2002 USA - Richter, Modano or Amonte (That one is hard since there are alot of great players on that team)

'01 World - I second the Forsberg with the "C", of course

Lidstrom - I'd do Toews or Kopitar.

'02 USA - Can't go wrong with Modano, I always really liked Bill Guerin, and Drury is my obvious Avs connection, but if it was me I'd do Scott Young. A more obscure, unique choice and #48 is a cool number.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and guess that you are talking about the 97-98 alternate. But even if your not, Marleau has been on the team since 97 so he will work for any alternate sharks. If you post pictures it would be a lot easier to help you out.

For the Coyotes, you cant go wrong with a Doan.

That Sharks jersey was made by different manufacturers throughout its run, namely Nike, CCM, Koho and Reebok. If you have an authentic, you might want to specify which one it is, in order to choose a period-appropriate player. In any case, the only player I can think of who played for both the Sharks and Coyotes during the period in which that style of jersey was being used was Mike Ricci.

Does anyone know if Branden Shanahan wore the C on the white Devils jersey in his last season?

I'm not a Devils expert but this is what I think happened. Shanahan came back to the Devils in the middle of the 2008-09 season. He didn't wear the C that year because Jamie Langenbrunner was already the captain. Shanny couldn't wear #14 that he previously used with the Rangers because Brian Gionta was already using it, so he used #18:

Gionta didn't play for the Devils in 2009-10, so Shanny took #14 and used it in the preseason- he wore a C, and A, or neither in 4 preseason games but quit before the season started:

I think Shanahan played only one preseason game in the white jersey, and that was with the "A".

Thanks for the info. So I was looking at pre-season pics then. Should I go with #14 and the "A"? Lettering kit is already in the making

I stripped my Parise jersey for that project.

I guess it just depends on how you feel about doing a preseason jersey that was only used once, and never used in the regular season. It was, however, the very last time he wore that white jersey.

It's really hard to decide. Did he wear any captaincy in combination with #18 on the white jersey? I can't find anything on gettys.

This is what I found so far:

#14 red: no captaincy, A and C

#14 white: A

#18 red: no captaincy

#18 white: no captaincy

According to hockeydb he also wore #33 http://www.hockeydb....0000512009.html

Question for the experts.

I've got a size 44 CCM Ultrafil jersey that I'm having customized as a gift for a sibling. I was wondering, do the numbers need to be a downsized at all since it's such a small jersey? Or should it be customized the same as say a size 54 of the same style?

Thanks.

In most cases I would say no. Almost all my ultrafils are 44's and I haven't had to scale down any of them to fit. The one jersey I'd be the most careful on though, would be the Rangers home & aways. The stripes above the hem can go pretty high, and with a fairly long name and double digit numbers, the numbers might overlap somewhat onto the lower stripes.

Well see that's just it. There are several jerseys that have that higher stripe on the waist. Also, don't discount letter height either because that can have a very large impact on it. The deeper the letter go, the farther down the numbers go into the base of the jersey.

I doubt there would be any problem with that one.

I'll agree with Brilliant!, that's why I said "most cases." There are other teams that have high waist stripes on their jerseys, but I don't think any of them have curved names like the Rangers, which is what I think makes theirs the most problematic, especially with the wider double digit numbers.

A related problem I'm having has to do with lack of space on the front of the jersey. I'm having 2 size 44 CCM Sharks jerseys done up as 1996/97's, but I can't put the ASG patch on the front because it won't fit between the crest and the shoulder panel!
