Alan_Of_The_Chi
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120643651227 This looks promising to me (then again, I'm kinda new to this stuff) but then a small detail came to mind and now I need some answers. If you look at the sleeves on the ebay auction sweater, you can see there is no numbers on them. If you go to: www.jersii.com this other guy has the same sweater, but there's numbers on the sleeves instead. I also noticed both sweaters have different tags on the neck if you look at the pics closely. I need to know why is this? Is one fake & the other real? A factory mistake? Did different companies make the two? If you need better pics, I'll ask the seller. Thanks in advance for any assistance anybody provides, it's really appreciated!!!! Nathan
The good news is that several companies made Black Hawks throwbacks at some point. The bad news is that several companies made Black Hawks throwbacks at some point. The worse news is that someone is going to go, "Hey, wait a minute, the team is called the Blackhawks and not the Black Hawks", even though the latter was pre-1985 and therefore correct. From the looks of it, the one on eBay was made by Ebbets Field Flannels (reputable), and the one on puckbay/jersii is a Stall and Dean. The Hawks wore the style in the eBay auction for a couple of years in the mid-1950s, and the one on puckbay/jersii would be attributed to a time a couple of years later. I'd say bid with confidence.
