Here's the item description....

JERSEY FEATURES:

- Manufactured by "CCM"

- V550 Replica model

- Vintage Collection Throwback Series

- 100% polyester heavyweight "Air Knit" fabric

- Re-inforced stitching on shoulder and armhole seams

- Double layer shoulders

- CCM "Vintage" neck label

- CCM embroidered logo on lower back hem

TEAM LOGO(S) FEATURES:

- As with every CCM Vintage V550 replica model the "Nordiques" front crest is "Glued" on the jersey

PLAYER NAME AND NUMBER(S) "CUSTOMIZATION" FEATURES:

- "Hunter" is sewn on a Name Bar which is then sewn on the back of the jersey

- # 32 is sewn on the back and each sleeve of the jersey

- The name and numbers are customized (sewn) in the "Nordiques" official style font and colors as worn during this period

- All customization is done in Pro Twill fabric

VERY IMPORTANT:

- Every Hockey Jersey we sell has the players name and number(s) professionally SEWN on the jersey in the official team font and colors.

- There are many other sellers who are selling hockey jerseys that have the players name and numbers "GLUED" on the jersey, theirs are NOT sewn.

- You can easily verify whether the Name and Numbers are actually sewn on the jersey by simply turning the jersey "inside-out". If the Name and Numbers are sewn on you should see a "zig-zag" stitch outline on the inside of the jersey. If you do not see a "zig-zag" stitch outline then the Name and Numbers are "Glued" on

So what's your overall take on these jerseys?

CCM 550's are the best replica jerseys ever made. I think the fleur-de-lis were pressed on by CCM, but you could always have them sewn down. They are not like the old heat sealed rubberized ones that would eventually come off. They are twill and aren't going anywhere.

I like the fact they have a street address and a phone number. I suspect this might be "pro-jerseys" from ebay. The photos look very familiar.

The CCM 550s are very solid replicas (including the vintage line). The only NHL replicas I think were better quality were the ProPlayer replicas, but those were only available for a very short time.

I agree with Jeff that those are the photos used by pro-jerseys on eBay so I'd assume they are the same company.

$159??? That's insane. Find a blank one somewhere for cheaper and have it customized. Anything over $100 for a REPLICA jersey that doesn't have a Burger King, rain with waves and lightning, an ice-breaking duck or a speed bump on it is ludicrous.

Been looking, can't seem to find any blank's of a Nords jersey brand new quality, and by the time I add the lettering and numbers will be $150 anyways probably....

Well, I believe that this is where the true test of a collector comes into play. Would you rather overpay for something NOW or spend some time doing a little hunting for it elsewhere and possibly coming up with a much cheaper winner? Obviously, I can't tell you what to do with your money but I will tell you that there are some good bargains out there and if you keep looking, you WILL find a blank Nords jersey for fairly cheap. Then all you have to do is have it customized; which is usually a $50 charge at a reputable shop like IceJerseys.

Just doing a search right now, here's some good blanks:

Both those are quality replicas from the 1980's or early 1990's.

I get the Kings, Lightning, and Ducks references but what is the speed bump?

Pffft...and you call yourself a collector.

Speedbump? I've never heard that Canucks alt called that. Normally it's some derivation of a Reese's candy joke.

You won't find any fans of the fakes here.

It's not just a matter of stitched or not - the materials of the crest, fleur-de-lis, and lettering will not be the same quality and the colors will be off. As Jeff said up above, you can always take the 550 replica someplace and have them stitch around the crests. Plus getting it customized by a legit company will insure they use actual twill instead of that bubbly satin-like crap the fakes use for letters/numbers.

Just doing a quick search in Google I found a place with the 550 Vintage Nords for $88 or as Brilliant said, keep checking eBay. Believe me, the quality of getting a legit jersey (even just a replica) with good customization definitely out-weighs the small bit of money you'd save buying one of those fake pieces of crap.

Thanks for that link!!!

You can't go wrong with SportsK, especially the customization. I've had several jerseys customized by them and believe me, I was NOT disappointed. SK does a great job on customizing jerseys. Even here at IJ is a good bet too for customizing a jersey. Plus, both are sources for legit jerseys. I'd definitely veer away from those fakes you posted pictures of above, they're total garbage and don't even look CLOSE to the replicas. IJ or SK and you won't be disappointed, trust me.

you can find ccm replicas which are fine in quality for 50$ . i don't get what you are trying to do why would you want a fight strap on a fake? I can tell you that most replicas are better quality then the fakes made in china. My tae on getting a jersey is i want an authentic it doesn't have to be a game worn but i want a authentic jersey they are made much much stronger and they can actually be good investments. I would probably say that most don't care about the money issue and just want something quality but it is nice to know if you need to you can sell you jerseys and even make a little coin.

bottom line 150 for a replica is way off and fakes suck

right, but finding an authentic Nords jersey from the 80's early 90's of the players I want is almost impossible.... Back in the day of Goulet and Stastny the jerseys were all iron on numbers etc....

I'll think I'll give that sportsk.com a try and order a CCM 550, $88 isn't bad I guess.

the fakes do suck, and as a matter of fact I just sold one of mine yesterday, have one left to get rid of, then will replace with some very good replicas or authentics if I can somehow find any.... I'm fine with a good replica.

And looks like they've had good reviews from some of you that know that site.

I emailed them and they said for lettering they come with the red outline (Nords started that in 92 I believe), however I want single color only for the older 80's players and they will knock off $20 for the single color.
