lafountain
OK, I have been a fan of many Russian players throughout the years and have watched quite a bit of Team Russia games in various tournaments. I don't recall seeing the jersey in this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=150414509236&Category=35967&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2 in any tournament. Does anyone know when Russia actually wore a Blue Jersey in a tournament?
DerbyCoyote
They wore that style in the 2005 World Championships held in Austria. I've only found pics of them wearing red though, so no idea if that's legit or not. The customization's wrong though, here's a game issue:
DerbyCoyote
Just checked the IIHF game sheets and the Ruskies wore red in every game of that tournament. Would have presumed white as their change kit but might not have been?
JeffB
I've never, ever known them to wear a blue jersey.
lafountain
I've never, ever known them to wear a blue jersey. Same with me, I recall seeing that jersey popping up on ebay a few years ago too, but don't ever recall seeing it used in a tournament or anything. mithras1
Happened to be on that ebay page as well yesterday. The jersey I'm pretty sure is legit. Seen them sell for as low as $20 though, more regularly for $40. Like all of you never seen it in a game. Have never ever seen a white version of it as well. I guess if the customization wasn't that far off in placement and perhaps a red outline around the numbers it'd be a reasonable price. Hopping on the olympic train I suppose
