Also, are Nike jerseys worth having? Is it the same material as Air knit? Thanks.

Yes, those older nikes were very nice jerseys. Definently worth owning. Yes, the material is called flo-knit and it is basically the same as air-knit just with a different pattern.

I like the construction and feel of the Nike NHL jerseys. The flo-knit material feels a bit softer and less rough than the CCM/Maska airknit, so they feel more comfortable to me. I think I'd actually prefer the Nike flo-knits to the current Edges.

Thanks for the info.

CCM is indeed rough material on my early 90's jersey but seems softer on an 99/00 CCM.

Is the Nike material comparable with Star(ter) knit? Not to fond of that; a bit spongy (Bruins 96/97). I don't exacly know what flo-knit is.

It's legit but the lettering is off.

The Nike material is a bit more stretchy than the CCM airknit; in that respect it is more similar to the Starter knit. But the Starter knit is by far the least rough of the 3 materials, and to me it also seems the softest and the most snag-prone. Perhaps that's what you meant by spongy. Even though I think that the Nike's texture is slightly more similar to that of the Starter than the CCM's is, I still wouldn't say that the Nike has a spongy feel. My overall impression of the Nike airknit is that it's more durable than the Starter while being a bit more comfortable to wear as a garment than the CCM.

Nice to know that the Nike material is more durable.

The Starter knit is indeed really soft and a snag is easily made on that particular jersey. That's what I meant with spongy, yes. ;-)

I really like the Starter mesh jerseys of NYR and COL, but I am not sure if I want another Starter jersey, even though the mesh versions differ from the knit versions. I'm looking for durability (and beauty, of course).

Anyone ever see a Starter jersey with an NHL logo like this? Everything else seems correct (numbers look a little bubbly on the back - but could just be wrinkly) - I've never seen a gold NHL logo on the back before though.

I wouldn't put much thought into that one. I imagine bleach was spilled on it.

What's the dealio on this? I would get Slims book out to try and decipher it, but it's late.

Legit 89-90 Penguins jersey

The customization is slightly off though, one thing I note is the "E"s - and no All Star patch

And to tie this back to slim....here is an example of an 89-90 shirt....

Sure, it's legit. Pretty sure the seller is a member here.

That's Keener. You will not find a more accurate jersey than what he makes.

How much rarer are the double CCM versions?

The customization on the jersey is about as close as you will get to a gamer.

Regarding the double logos though, I would guess from the photos that the second set of CCM/NHL logos was added on later, but I could be wrong.

Found this on eBay, right size, right price, a player I'd love to have, but can't find out whether the customization is way off:

AFAIK, the pictures I've seen all show nameplates. Just wanted to get all of your opinions on if this is way off. Thanks!
